And this is how I know your opinion on music is now entirely irrelevant lol. Maybe if you listen to the same 5-10 rappers that inhabit the most current popular songs, you can come with saying they all sound the same. There's plenty of good shit out there that doesn't sound stale like you're referring to. I'll leave you a couple.

The only relavent one is Kendrick but that goes without saying, yes there are rappers with their own flow and Trippie red is one. I never said his the only one lol
And I’m talking mainstream rap, I can give you a list of underground rappers with their own flow, but the fact that trippie red is on top with a new style of vocals says something

Music is entirely subjective at the end of the day anyway, so neither of us is right or wrong. And to be clear, I'm not trying to argue or flame you or anything, I just get a bit heated debating music as writing it is what I do for a living.The posts I made above were more about highlighting mainstream rappers and songs that don't sound like the usual mainstream shit we've both heard a million times. I've got a plethora of underground artists I could kick in as well lol.
One of the reasons I discredit Trippie is because he bites Young Thug and Lil Uzi's sounds so hard. Check out Lil Peep (RIP) if you haven't already, and if you want someone with a new style of vocals that just works super well.

Oomps revenge by trippie is the best song he has and its only been shown as snippets. I think he has more potential than a lot of people, especially his "rival" currently 6ix9ine. I could see trippie outlasting if he stopped bitching and put effort into his work. @Light
Lil Peep is garbage (rest in peace, death is always sad no matter what but..) with little to no flow, nothing special lyrically and only is big for the whole emo rap scene + his death made him even more overrated - It was trendy. He wouldve been as relevent as Lil Xan is nowadays. @Apnea . Also dont add nicki minaj to any kind of "unique style" argument. If you knew hip hop, especially female rappers who have previously ran the game, she's a nobody. She's just big in the IG, sexualization era. Besides Lil peep and Nicki, you linked decent music.

Lil Peep's game isn't having a dope or innovative flow, it's his penchant for catchy melodies and invoking feelings. Dozens of more well known and generally respected rappers turned out to show support for him both while he was alive and after his death. Plus getting on a track with Marshmello is no small feat. And please don't lump Peep in with Xan, I'd get Trippie's face tattooed on myself before I'd listen to Xan because he's truly hot garbage.
If you can so quickly discredit Nicki just because of her mainstream stuff and how she represents herself visually, then I don't think you appreciate hip hop as much as you lead on. She's one of the goats for female rappers for sure. Chun-Li is a damn awesome song, her bars on Kanye's Monster are incredible, she snapped on Lil Wayne's Mercy remix, Shanghai is just a straight banger. I mean I could go on.
And I know of and appreciate plenty of other female rappers who might be considered "better". Snow tha Product is one of my favorites of all time. Lil Kim, Lauryn Hill, Missy, I'm no stranger.

I know she has lyrical shit but she is also HIGHLY overrated due to the lack of female rappers around nowadays. Before Cardi who was really competiting for her? Now to be fair she gets credited AND discredited for being a female so it goes both ways.
Honestly I did skim through most of what you guys were talking about above but all I saw was you placing nicki minaj in a group of underrated (besides kendrick) artists and claiming "unique style".

The intent wasn't to say she's underrated, my apologies for the confusion. It was more so that the track I linked was fire and is a pretty big deviation from what she usually puts out. She's had a tendency toward more poppy stuff and I just thought that song was hard and easily one of her best.
