Lvl 20 balance druid

Hey,
I have played with feral for most time with my druid, but now i thought to switch balance to feel little caster type.
Honostly I dont where to start:
- I see mostly 2 tpyes of build int/crit/haste or int/haste/vers.
- Really dont get this astral power / cast 2 wraths / cast 2 other s**t things
- Is it worth to play? (maybe idiot question)
- Spells arent look for me bis spells (few 100s dmg 1.4-2 sec cast and poor dot) like warlocks' sf cb or elemental shamy.
Thanks for any help and sorry there are balance guide for 20s, but I havent found it.
 
There probably is a BiS setup.. But it gets alot more fun when you pick your stats to play the way you want.
-Im running Crit/Vers myself. You'll lose overall dmg, but the burst-setup is super fun.
-Haste/vers is probably safest. The Global-cd/Cast-time reduction and Dot-uptime + the survivability from is just good overall.

A lot of your damage can come from the entangling roots PvP talent called Prickling Thorns, so your damage will be better than outside of BGs.

Is that mh oh better than the Ilvl 34 staff? I'm assuming because the gem slots? Also, can you still get those gems from black morass?
 
blizzard declared war on bal druids in SL at low level and max level. i was rather surprized to see at 20 there is no moonkin and sunfire. which is a level 42 pre SL squish. reminds me of van wow, where bal had to struggle till they got moonkin very late

bal druids in 20s are not really represented as much.

also not seeing bal druids as the exploit class used in 10-19 leveling BGs

if you follow known twinks at 19/20 who switched from hunter to bal druid in CATA, are predom back to hunters

I see many crap balance druids in bgs even with good gear.
Is it so depending from skill or bg mates?
Overall i am not skilled with balance yet since never played it, but I smell lot of weakness about them atm.
I am right or keep improving skill and gear?

Keep improving skill and gear. Good balance players are good, can and do decide games. Flag carrying, off heals, damage (both spread and aided burst), stealth caps, strategic roots.

MH, OH is pretty much always better than staff because you get an extra enchant.
Any 30+ can still farm the gems from Black Morass HC.
 
I mained guard / feral mop to legion. First thing i did when i got back was feral 20. Sad to say.. it was.. "fun°tm blizz' swapped to boomy, oh boy. Stock up 100% power and just nuke anything.. anything. Surge just kills all. And alot of them in row..

Any regular 1hand+offhand should be better than 34 artifact, for Boomkins I think ??

ilvl33 artifact gives:
37int
12stam
8-8stats

ilvl25 mh+off gives:
19+10int (29) + 5 offhand enchant (34)
5+5stam (10)
3+3+3+3stats (12)

So staff gives more:
+3 int
+2 stam
+4 stats

With sockets it mh+off give +1int -2stam
I dont count socket heirloom mace. Ofc thats bis.
Maybe i a wrong, but I have counted these.
33-34 mh+off artifact also nice, but druids dont have that.
Normal 25mh+off also depends with +speed/leech stat or secondary stat variety

Ye theres some varierty in secondaries, some are 3+4. But guess you do need sockets to knock of staff then.
