EU+US Level 80 & 85 Soloing

Wont the ghouls bug the encounter? I've had 2x P3 tries, in one I died in throne room for no reason (nothing in combat log, just "you died." I did have tons of ghouls up. Second time I survived throne room, got ported back to LK and had all shamblers and LK behind me which was near instant death.

So keep all ghouls up or kill em? And how do I deal with the spheres on second remorseless winter?

Edit: can I solo Yorsahj on heroic in DS? What about Hagara?

Ghouls bug if you can't skip p3. If you lack DPS during that transition (I've no idea if 85s do, haven't got the 463 yet to try it), you'll want to kill them off during p2 so you can enter p3 with no issues. If you get through the throne room, just have GoAK or ardent defender to save you. It buys enough time.

I dealt with the spheres with a macro in avenger's shield to target them over LK. I'll post this one tomorrow though, as I cba relogging wow tonight.

Should be able to do yorsahj on normal, but unlikely that hagara is possible (lightning phase). Just pug it, those two bosses are really easy these days.

Alright, guess ill work on that.

Ill try to figure out a macro myself, can you post yours when you've got time though?

Also, BoM or BoK? 5% more mastery feels better than 5% str, could be totally wrong on this though!
 
I prefer Kings, but if you want as much as possible you can do Might + drums kings (4%).

Avenger's shield macro looks like this (Credit to Aelo for coming up with it):

/tar Ice Sphere
/tar [dead,noexists] The Lich King
/cast Avenger's Shield
/tar The Lich King

I had to use a separate action bar with a non-macroed avenger's shield for the first phase transition, as I needed to kill the ragings for survivability reasons. 85s might be able to ignore it, but if you copy my tactic that macro will make ALL avenger's shields try and be cast at LK, regardless of where he is on the platform. Makes that transition horrible.
 
Hmmm, I actually haven't tried ignoring the P1 raging spirits. I may try to keep them alive, though their silence (I think THEY cast it on me...) is kind of annoying (I noticed I can't even cast sacred shield at certain times).

I think a kill is due to soon, I'm nearly at my 40th try and have now 'mastered' the fight to the point I reach last phase each time. I already had figured out a macro which works like a charm but I may use yours anyway.
Im thinking of macroing Judgment for icespheres aswell, since I've had moments where a ice sphere was not up and crusader wouldn't proc for 1 or 2 sec.. Kind of dangerous.

Got him! Reforged out of a lot of haste and got crit instead, seeing the only phase I have trouble with was the last one and crit would serve me better. (28.35% crit, 31.38% haste now).

46 (recorded) wipes, many didnt register though. Also had maybe 10-12 wipes cause of being stupid or losing focus (shadow trap). On the last try I basically ran almost 3 circles worth of shadowtraps to get more ghouls and shamblers, guess it paid off as I had way more GC procs.

I actually didnt have Light of Dawn yet. Pretty happy I didn't get both Bane of the Fallen King and Light of Dawn the easy way (zerg with 90's or 85's..), got the 10 man on my warlock and now this.. :)

I added /tar Ice Sphere to Avenger's Shield and hugged LK in the first phase transition, using a seperate targeting macro for the Raging Spirits that I spammed while doing the rotation. Figured I could get some extra dps on LK inbetween Raging Spirits if I killed them off before another a new one spawned.

Yeah, really the 40% -> 10% phase is the only one you really need dps for.. I actually just auto attacked unless I lost health in p1 to get more ghouls and stuff.

Farming rares for neck/bracers now, really awefully boring :/
 
Nice, I guess the Mantid Sky Reaver makes a huge difference in dps as I really needed some luck to nuke him down from 40 to 10%..

Guess ill farm that later! Still trying to get necklace/bracers, about 50 rare kills so far and got each possible drop except the ones I need.

Tested this with Festergut (on heroic, but still) and the stacking debuff still gives a way too big DPS race, even if you bubble to reset it. Ended up bringing my twink friend for this boss to taunt the stacks off myself.
Rotface, however, was faceroll, didn't really hit too much even after enraging.

What char did you do it on & how much dps did you do?

10 or 25 hc?
