Re: Lets try something controversial - What do you think happens after death? Discuss

if you say your body wants to kill you from the first second and you are only born because you should die as fast as possible youre plain stupid, doesnt matter what you believe in.

I guess you do not understand what I am talking about since I am referring partly to some material I was taught in university, and I understand that not everyone on TI forums is of the same level of education. However, it is rather simple to grasp the concept that your body (if left untended to) will die. So literally speaking, as soon as you are born, your body is already on the route to degradation.

I do agree with physombia, there are different levels and meanings of stupidity.

And it is not necessarily creationism, its mostly philosophy and sociology all nicely mixed together with my 150 skill alchemy :)

I would just like to throw this out in your direction madhombre as a simple reminder: OP originally created this thread with the intention of being able to speak freely. I find it highly immature that you must come and throw insults at people who try to speak their own ideas out to the public. If you have a serious problem with my post (maybe I insulted your religion, if so I am sorry), please inbox me. I will be glad to talk it through.

After death you have 6 minutes to release the spirit from your corpse.

that video was a total waste of time. if you believe that, then lul. oh btw in the into, by time travel at high speeds is this person just talking about traveling at relativistic speeds? if so i would hardly call that time travel. athene, rofl.

really? which material would that be...and what university did you go to. maybe you're referring to middle school biology where you learn about cells??
even if so, degrading and cells having finite lifespans IS NOT the same thing as "from the first day youre born in this world your body is trying to kill you". not the same sport, much less ballpark. why havent we evolved to self-sustain? um..idk, same reason billions of other species havent, it just hasnt happened yet. and shit, maybe its not even physically possible for such complex units of life to ever do that. that doesnt prove an afterlife or any other such bullshit. not to mention "feeding" is not a social construct. and medicine is a bad thing? shelter is forced on us by society?? explain homeless people then please. the stupid just does not stop flowing. are you sure you went to a university?

And it is not necessarily creationism, its mostly philosophy and sociology all nicely mixed together with my 150 skill alchemy :)

so its a load of crap then? trying to be hip and controversial by making up stuff isnt cool.

notice bolded. if you want people to speak freely, then that includes criticisms and insults. if you dont like what madhombre is saying, ignore it.

It's called a theory Falkor. It doesn't mean it's correct nor does it mean it's reliable, yes the video is from Athene's YouTube channel however it shows clear depictions on someones motives and theories behind some of lifes most mysterious happenings. I never declared nor clarified that I believed in the "The Afterlife Dysfunction" theory nor did I state that I thought it was correct or plausible.

On a much more diverse part of this topic, there was a lecture that took place some years back by Alan Watts. Take a listen to what he has to say about this topic, it's very interesting.

I am done arguing my thoughts with you guys, if you want to cling on to my very controversial theory and make a whole argument about it go for it. But I will no longer be replying to you. This was MY opinion, and I do not see why I should care about what you have to say about your lame insults towards me. And as for madhombre, I reported him as he was extremely rude to what I thought was a "speak your mind freely" based post.

Have a nice day

It's sad that people can't have a simple debate without it becoming an insult fest. Sad times :/

Yes, believe what I say or I walk away is a great strategy for debate, it's right up there with the christian believe what I say or god will smite you.

Re: Lets try something controversial - What do you think happens after death? Discuss

I believe that you will give your energy back to mother earth, it is just the cycle of life. The soul just dies with it due to not getting it's energy.

I have nothing against believes, I am not a believer myself, but the part where people trying to push believes to other people is just wrong. It is a thing people should decide for themselves. You may wonder why I say this because it is very simple 90% (maby even all) of the wars in the world are about believes and we have plenty of evidence of that.

But just because believers fought in the war doesent mean they started it rofl. Look at the crusaders for an example, when the Muslims attacked the crusaders in Jerusalem which started a war between both of them. You can't just blame it on believers, no one is forcing you to believe anything.

I am not talking about any specific war.

Then explain the reason for this war? Aint it about the believes of one group vs another? It is.

Nobody forcing? Where are you getting this bile? The wars were about just that, forcing the others populations on to your side. Just because there isn't a death penalty on blasphemy in most countries today doesn't mean that hasn't been the case before.

Constantinopel was taken in 1453 because they tried to converting the greeks back to christianity instead of Islam. Want more examples, just ask.

Wars have always been about forcing religion on others. I know you religious people aren't too fond of reading books but I'm gonna reach out because I'm helpful person and recommend you try and read something other than Ken Hams the flintstones theories.

Re: Lets try something controversial - What do you think happens after death? Discuss

Religion is bad.

No, the people that practice it are.

lets take Islam and Christianity; We have Muslims believing the only way to heaven is through them. And we have Christians saying the same.

Lets say we have a Christian who's been evil his whole life. On his deathbed he repents and is excepted into heaven. Then we have a Muslim, who's done nothing his whole life, but good. You think god would slam the door in his face?

But this is what ALL religions would have us believe o_O I believe in god. But not what our religious leaders tell us.

As for atheists... they have total FAITH there is no higher power, hilarious.

OT: what do I think? My idea of heaven is a brothel with free beer.

Re: Lets try something controversial - What do you think happens after death? Discuss

But it is not true. You are talking just about extreme atheism.

The faith something doesn't exist is still faith no matter how slight it is.

Re: Lets try something controversial - What do you think happens after death? Discuss

What I tried to say is that atheists do not disgard the existens of gods like you are trying to sell. Atheism is not a religious believe.

Atheism is the rejection of the belief in god (or any deity). Which in it's self is faith (not a faith). It's faith (belief/theory, W/E you want to call it) because it can't be proven one way or the other.
