<Legacy> Looking for 50s to raid 60 content

After looking through logs, seems comparison of dancing steel vs crusader is coming out remarkably close, depending on boss (uptime was swinging from 28ish% to 70% which is a fault of RNG). Dancing steel is likely to provide more reliable uptime due to it's rppm mechanics, but crusader probably averages higher str. If you can hitcap without the weapon chain (looking at your gear, it's a big maybe), then weapon choice is entirely up to you. The heirloom is very close to the alternatives due to swings in weapon dps and available stats on items. (ie, small differences are small)

Doesn't seem that the bosses are particularly DPS required though, more dealing with mechanics.

I agree with you, if I can push the hit cap without the weapon chain I'll switch to dancing steel due to the up-time ratios dancing steel has. However, it's breaking the stupid percentage barrier, that's going to be the fun part.

I spent about 2 Hours doing some theory crafting and this is the final result I have for my warriors hit cap.

EDIT: I'd also like to try and increase my expertise value, I'll figure something out.

I will now attempt to do a DPS Rotation to find a perfect spot for a decent DPS thresh point. However, I do agree that the fights are more "Method / Mechanical" Based over DPS quantity.

On a side note, take a look at this...I wanted to see how high I could actually reach with every type of hit percentage possible...This is what I managed to get.

Giving up weapon DPS for dancing steel? xD

I found the executioners axe gives 6 DPS More than the Heirloom axe, that's what my gear addon told me anyway. However, DPS wise it's actually very, very nice. The up-time on dancing steel is constant also. I just need to increase my expertise a little bit and then I'm happy with the end result.

EDIT: I don't know how it gives 6 DPS More but w/e

Videos of all our kills so far are uploaded (can find them under the "Current Progress" spoiler in the first post).

A few reminders for those coming to the raid this Sunday:
- Check your AH for Hourglass Sand (more important for tanks and healers, you could also farm some from the BWL trash with your main and send them to your 50)
- Melee try to get some Frost Oil in case we have enough time to attempt Viscidus
- Hunters bring an heirloom weapon if you aren't already using one (for Nefarian)
- Feral druids make sure you have Glyph of Master Shapeshifter (for dispelling on Chromaggus)
- Restorative Potions would be nice for Chromaggus but the recipe is rare (unobainable now) and the mats are a bit annoying so don't worry if you can't get any
- If you don't have engineering, bringing some Stratholme Holy Water would help for phase 3 of Nefarian (they share a cooldown with bombs)

Really good job with the progress tonight everyone, that was probably the best raid we've had so far :D

We took plenty of screenshots this time and videos will be uploaded soon!

Chromaggus

Nefarian

Fankriss the Unyielding

Viscidus

Princess Huhuran

So that just leaves Twin Emperors and C'Thun in AQ40, both of which look possible but will require a good raid size to kill. On Twins, tanks were surviving the Unbalancing Strikes (~6.8k when not blocked) and hunters were fine tanking Vek'lor, but we didn't have enough tanks for the adds. We got C'Thun to phase 2 with about 30mins of raid time left but he will require a few more DPS to keep up with the add spawns.

We'll also clear AQ10 sometime (probably whenever we don't have enough people online to try the remaining 2 bosses in AQ40).

Holy shit, 6/8 BWL, NA <FIFTY> had such a hard time getting numbers. That's insane, huge congratulations!

Thanks :)

We'll be doing AQ10 this Sunday. Raid spots will be decided in the next few days and priority will be given to those who have put effort into their gear and attended all the raids so far.

The reason for not attempting Twins and C'Thun again this week is because (like I said above) they will require a good raid size to have any chance at killing them. I'll start asking around to check how many people are still interested in 50 raiding, but unless we have 25+ (including 4 tanks) then we'll probably end our progression there.

The AQ10 raid group will be:
- Tanks: Yuuno, Montaron (DPS on 1 tank bosses)
- Healers: Naeun, Jiradus, Eunkyung
- DPS: Aelobear, Teasonia, Puffsy, Yostan, Ibunia

Sorry that we can't take everyone this week! I tried to make the raid spots as fair as possible by basing them on attendance over the last 4 raids and the amount of effort that people have put into their 50s (enchants, engineering, etc). I haven't had a chance to ask them all if they're available this Sunday so we'll whisper any other raiders that are online at invite time if we need to replace someone.

AQ10 was unsurprisingly easy xD I'll get the video up as soon as possible, along with the one of last week's raid.

That marks the end of our level 50 raiding :) We've made some awesome progress over our 5 raids which wouldn't have been possible without the number of people we had, so thanks to everyone who attended along the way!

How much people did we really need extra for Twins? Two gnomes tanks basically, someone go reroll :p

Anyway I'd be up to do AQ10 again with the people who haven't done it this week but would like to do it.

Hey there everyone,

I am both happy, impressed and surprised. It is great to hear and see that 50 was once again revived on EU realms!

I don't have a gnome tank, but if it is tanks we need I have a bis feral-prot druid though if viable for aq40.

It is great. I can't wait to be back again for more 50 twinking.

Greetings to all from Andrakla

ps: feel free to pm me if you are interested in 51 twinking.
