How to get honor?

Okay, well, I completely forgot to get honor cap (or just enough for 4/4 Brutal) on my Rogue before dinging to 70. With this said, I have 20 honor, and I sat in a 50 min WSG queue last night with locked XP. I turned it off, got into a game after 20 minutes, Horde 2/3 as soon as I joined, lost, and got 8 honor. Am I pretty much screwed or is there a way to get honor other than sitting in non-existent queues?

Does the Wintergrasp commendation stuff still work? I only ask rather than try because for some reason Horde has it on my server every time I check.

You queue BGs for honour. I think I earned around 3k honour in a week of queueing BGs on my BiS Priest. No idea how you're going to do that with a badly geared character tbh.

I got into a few XP locked BGs yesterday and won 3 out of 4. Almost done gearing, just need one more piece but can't seem to get a queue. I suppose I'll wait til same time today :~)

Is this bracket really this dead for BG queues? I don't mind since I twink @ 70 for 2v2/3v3 and not BGs, but it'd still be fun to take the piss in a BG once in awhile. Doesn't seem that's usually possible, though.

even XP-on BGs ques are suffering, i have a player at 61 and avg wait on randoms shows 6 min, 47 minutes later still not in a BG. i find this really hard to believe myself, i used leveling BGs on 3 players about 4-5 months ago and had no issues. seems to me blizzard's match making and player finding across realms is broken

I think there's definitely something wrong with PvP BG matchmaking lately. Even on my 90s, the random BG queues have been getting to ~10 minutes during peak hours. Usually it's literally an instant-pop.
