Is 120 twinking valid now?

Since patch 8.2.5 dropped you can now join any level BG as a level 120 character as long as you queue with someone in that level bracket in your party.

For example, today I joined a level 20-29 BG on my Death Knight because I queued with a level 25 druid.

Has anyone done an analysis on the scaling of the gear in this scenario and whether or not this will make 120s viable twinks for any bracket?
 
Its decent with the few possible advantages you can have, but unless they lighten up on the restrictions a little bit I dont believe it will ever be fully plausible.
 
Seriously, if 120s had a real advantage over twinks, would you guys actually play "120 twinks"?

Of course they are.

But playing endgame to twink is somewhat contradictory, is it not? Only the real ones wouldn't migrate

Imagine seeing a 120 twink in your battleground, with like 1362 3v3 rating lul.

I don't know why you're being so hostile about this. I have 3 39 twinks I was playing a TON in BFA, but then Blizzard ruined it by separating xp off BGs. If this offers a way to somehow twink again I'm all for it.

Perhaps I'm just missing how twinking otherwise is even possible right now? I'm not going to make a new account just to play a level 20.

If by "twinking" you just mean "playing low level BGs" then sure yea.

But "twinking" isnt just low level pvp. By definition, you cannot "twink" a 120. Thats just end game.

There is no reason as to why you cant try to make a difference and coordinate some sort of event for your 39s. Before and after the separation we were doing 39 10v10 wargames every week. It stopped because everyone found interest in the 59 wargames.
There is no reason as to why you couldn't have tried to get activity going...This game is full of "follow the leader" players. There are ways to play your twinks, people are just too lazy to find them.

Up until classic launch activity was a very realistic possibility. If you want to twink that bad get on classic and start working towards it. Or make a veteran character. It'll be a breath of fresh air.

33 stam. all traits are gone, I don't play 29's but seems like big stats. if you farmed good gear with no mastery, stat stick trinkets could work.

check his actual stats though. bout 130-135 str and like 1800 health? I think scaled characters are templated, regardless of their gear

was falling asleep last night, so I just zoned in took a SS. wont let me post it... but it says.

Damage 101-114
Attack Power 136
attack speed 3.5
weapon DPS 32.96

if it is templates, when I hit 440 which is anyday now Ill see if templates adjust.

That tracks with my like... lvl 76 DKs stats. So it does look templated.

looks that way,
my plan was to play around with it today when I drag myself outa bed. but I might just play around with the 60 bracket instead now,
I still got all his 60 gear in bank

want to see if eng, enchants gems ect work in higher brackets. could find broken stuff, slips through the cracks.
edit- unless sum1 already tested and has the info.
