Hpal Is Going To Be The Best Healer In 8.1

SleepyShamann

The Best
Everyone was doubting us Hpal players. No one thought we could do it. But now we shall rise.

Flash of Light increased by 15%!!
Holy Light increases by 25%!!

Quick little guide to these changes.
STACK HASTE VERS NOT CRIT VERS!!!!!!!!!

If you want fast and fat holy lights but still big heals because of the Vers you have this is 100000% the way to go.

Yea yea everyone likes to go crit vers for what holy shocks? Lul holy shock is garb af at 29.

You guys can say ohhh well as Hpal you have to cast a lot. But if you know how to fake guess what? You can free cast for fucking days. Not to mention stacking haste reduce those cast times by insane amounts of time.

Rsham? That’s cute. Priest? That’s cute. Do they have a bubble which can be used as a 2nd trinket? No. Do they have a 100% movement speed mount that can go faster than sonic? Nope. Do they have a 6 second stun that doesn’t dr? Nope.

Shaman has kick yea for 2-3 seconds not a big deal. Do they have a 6 second stun? That doesn’t dr with blind or trap? Nope.

Hpal is meta and it’s time for us to come out of the shadows and shit on some FOTM healers.

Please don’t turn this thread into a rage fest. Thanks :)

if you think holy shock is useless in this bracket then that's probably why people are doubting you lmao

also, ive never seen a single holy paladin in this entire bracket say that crit is good and if you thought for even a second that it was in a bracket where paladins don't have infusion of light, then maybe you should play a different healer

only convincing part is that you have stuns and bubble.... you dont have the insta-casts like other healers. You get swapped on and most likely die and u cant kite and cast

Yep I’m dumb only got 2.6 3 seasons in a row on an Hpal. Sigh. Multiple people have told me crit vers and I have seen it in multiple armories. So what you should do is shut up before I shit on your “I’m good at paladin” parade. :)

Congrats on failing to recognize that your 2.6 rating doesn't mean shit here because twinking =\= endgame.

And also congrats on failing to completely get the point I was making about why crit isn't good at this bracket, not end game.

thank u, next

Yeah but to us endgame Hpal players, we only have 1 hand of sacrifice :( which is a huge nerf.

and 2.6xp gives more credibility as a skilled player than twinking does lol

holys been good since legion i'd say
so long as resto sham and disc priest are around though they'll probably continue to be overshadowed even considering the disc nerf

i'd love to be proven wrong though, seeing more variety in bgs is always fun

I honesty feel like Mistweaver brings more to the table than any other healer. At least in brackets over 40

yeah only reason I said resto sham over mistweaver is cos resto does retard damage and retard heals

mistweaver still fotm rn too tho you right

I understand where you're coming from, but I would like to mostly disagree. Sure, knowledge of the class, etc whatever, but what I'm getting at is there's a less variety of abilities, meaning stat priorities are way different, and at level 29 you don't have things like double bop or double freedom, matyr etc to crutch on.

I play mostly surv hunter at end game, so this is purely an example. But if holy shock is bad at end game, that doesn't mean that it's bad at lower levels because the scaling of abilities is vastly different. Holy shock at this level, no proc, but it heals for almost as much as a flash of light, more actually, but with way less mana and it's instant cast. There's 100% a huge difference, and that's also why people who main twinks beat endgame gladiators in the TC more often than not.

I think the best* damage/heal ratio belongs to Mistweaver hands down. Only reason I'd consider Rshams top tier would be for their mobility/utility/silence

yeah if you can manage to stand still ofc mw is great, resto shams can move around like they're on adderall and still do fine if not above average healing

when I see that mw standing there casting soothing mist I kno hes gon get smacked by the frag >:]

As someone that has been playing Hpal for 10+ years I can tell you that nerf was needed... To be real with you. It wasn't even that good. Other than the double sac it wasn't really amazing. Now just Hpals are going to have to play ultimate sac every game to make up for the loss of 2 sacs. I still think Hpal will be a top tier healer at max 100%. Will it be as good? No. But we will for sure see new comps and a new play style to adapt to this change.
