Growing and protecting and growing the 20-24 bracket

Regardless of the many differing opinions, I think there has been some intelligent and mature debate here. If NOTHING else, it is heartening to know that not everyone in the game is a 12 year old kid looking to start a flame war on the Internetz. If some people actually DO get this little census project off the ground, it will be interesting to see the results and it would be great if this were a running project / thread, instead of a one time deal.

@Crit, despite our differing opinions, I DO respect you and your ideals for this bracket. I only wish there were more people of your moral caliber (and that they were lvl 20...).

I totally agree.

The sad fact is if you pine away for the bracket to opt to play a level 20 you will be very disappointed. You know it, I know it. I don't have to like it to report it. I am just the messenger, shoot me... massive numbers of hunters seem to think its ok. <<<

>>>which leads to the point. Disproportionate numbers of hunters on both sides is indicative of the general nature of players in WoW. They did not opt to play other classes for a reason which is the same reason the vast majority of paying players will choose to go to bracket max and twink there.

Crit, several of the players were indeed simul-queing from other servers, and out of respect I shall not name any names. I DID notice however, that none of the HI folks talked out against it, or encouraged otherwise. If nothing else, they are guilty of complicity.

I suppose that what you say is possible, but I wasn't there, so who really knows what was said, or whether you heard them correctly, whether you understood them, or whether the guys you heard were actually members of <Horde Invasion>. So who knows.

I will say that I visit our vent every day at different times of day, and I have never heard any tolerance for people who extol GY camping. In fact, we just banned one loudmouth (non-HI member) who was in vent bragging about how much honor he farmed.

Wow, Honeybadger thought < Horde Invasion> supported f2p. Honeybadger's so confused. This looks bad.

** Honeybadger love f2p's **

/Grabs popcorn & waits for Good long explaination(Wot)

lol where's the post where Capias tells all F2p's to go cut lawns to afford WoW? Boo

Did you choose to go 24 for the same reason as the people who roll hunters then?

No. I love Gnomeregan.

Want more? Drop by my vent.

No kidding.

We followed Honeybadger's steps to tickles.

Nada.

'Cept a one shot with like 9 debuffs, but that is neither here nor there...

What are we doing wrong!?!?!

Honeybadger couldn't tickle, Honeybadger returned 2 flags with a million horde around the dayum efc. That was Honeybadger's first game of the night , Honeybadger only played 4 games tonight . 2nd,3rd and 4th game( Ticklefest) . Faith was taking Honeybadger's kills on his hunter :(

so people can't play the class they like if it's OP? and you need 4 levels of gear/enchants/talent points/professions to take them?

You keep attempting to put words in my mouth. The points are:
  1. Only you say anything about "need". I say choose. Surmise the "need" is a vain attempt to goad me and others to play a 20 by suggesting we are fail unless we do.
  2. A disproportionate number of players "like" the Allies evidenced by the huge difference in queue times.
  3. A disproportionate number of players "like" playing Hunters, a long time OP class. Obvious to anyone.
  4. These disproportionate number of players represent the majority and as such reveal the choice of the majority.
  5. More F2P play Alliance and more F2P play Hunters than any other class the main reason those choices are made, albeit not the only, is the same. Better class, better gear. Simple as that and obvious to anyone without a bias.
  6. The choice of the majority of 20s is not to play gimped classes nor the weaker geared faction which demonstrates the majority are not interested in playing the low side of a contest, challenging or not.
Which brings us back to delusions. Human nature is human nature, majority is majority and trends are trends. To suggest that the majority of new P2P players to the bracket will choose to gimp themselves in an attempt to be fair or not be considered "fail" (because they need 4 levels) is the description of deluded. Time will continue to tell. At what point as 24s keep joining the bracket will you concede? I will concede if the bracket starts to trend toward the majority of new P2P joining the bracket as a 20 or the percentage of 24s in the bracket trend is downward. Neither of those have have happened in over 75 days.

I get where you are coming from though. I fail because I play a 24 (as well). ;)

This, you can either leave, upgrade, roll OP or learn to enjoy the f2p bracket no matter what class.

Oh and T_T of coarse

The mods deleted it. Apparently my outrageous suggestion violated ToS or something.

Telling people to mow lawns to afford WoW is appalling. I take the much more appropriate approach and suggest a paper route.

Shame on you.

Honeybadger loves F2p's. There is no bracket without them. Even Honeybadger knows that.

Push more horde to que up. Lower alliance ques

Once debated creating horde and having a alliance and horde guild on same server. Sorry I have way more respect for alliance que 15 to pummel horde. Besides I do stuff during ques

The suggestion that people don't pay for wow because they can't afford 15 measly bucks is pretty outrageous.

Preeeetty sure for most of us it's a matter of choice :p

Besides I do stuff during ques

Me too,... only it lasts about 1 min. Just think, while you're still waiting you could play a whole nother game and get twice the pummeling done...
