So I was blazin endos tonight and got really sentimental about some of my toons. I’ve had a lot of them for over a year and this bracket has really grown on me despite all the bs. With that said, I’m excited for 5.3! ele sham ftw! Anyway, my latest project is a dwarf hunter, and I’ll explain why hunt is one of the only classes I can play for now.
This bracket, in its simplicity, strips away a lot of the filler you get in endgame. I love to do arenas so maybe I’m partial in saying that cc is the most satisfying thing to do. Those crucial interrupts, peels, next to calculated burst is great. With patch 5.2 most classes lost their ability to perform crowd control reliably. Hoj, fear, purge, roots, all became hit or miss, literally.
I chose dwarf hunt mainly so I could expertise cap. Atm I am rocking a hipster 3 piece while I farm foreman. In most situations I use a ferocity wasp, say what you will, Im in love with the pet burst cd and 45 sec stun is great. On d I’ll use a cunning turtle to send around corners, shell shield is boss and it solos fools. Anyway, as the most satisfying thing is cc, being able to hit cap -- expertise cap is crucial to the structure of pvp, and so the most painful thing is missing that cc when you need it most.
Hunter offers the most utility of any damage class, with dps balanced to where I think it should be honestly. I want to have the greatest effect on the game that I can, apart from playing a healer, I am certainly most usefull as a hunter. I can confidently 1v1 almost anything, I can cc multiple targets at once as well as provide excellent burst. So ok, you know. Hunt is good w/e. I guess what I am really saying here is that I pray bliz fixes the hit issue in 5.3, because when cc is unreliable skill ceases to matter and only gear dominates.
