Hi folks!

The daily quest during the 12th birthday awards you 25 Timewarped Badges.
For f2ps these can be used to buy lots of things which are unobtainable otherwise!

-Commendation badges like Commendation of the Ebon Blade which increases reputation by 500.

-A lot of toys, the cheapest being Grizzlenout's Fang for 750 badges. You must save up your badges and hope for similar events in the future, because you can't get that many on one char.

-Bag of Fishing Treasures lvl70 for 150 badges which may contain:
Chucks Bucket
Muckbreath's Bucket
Snarly's Bucket
Toothy's Bucket

-Bag of Fishing Treasures lvl80 for 150 badges or Barrel of Fish, Crate of Meat, Small Spice Bag for 25 badges which may contain:
Recipe: Delicious Chocolate Cake
which can reward following achievement:
The Cake Is Not A Lie

The quest giver also sells Corgi Pup for 200 badges and Inflatable Thunderfury for 50 badges which also rewards following achievement:

Will be calculating how many badges and how many years this will take me (probably a lot, BUT WHATEVER).

(So sad we can't get the free 200 Badges in the mail, but whatever, I have alts to spare ;) )

Another thing: You can do the daily quest with a level 1 char.
So you can get your Thunderfury and your Corgi (or 3 Corgis for you completionists) with a newly created throw-away-char and spare your mains' badges for pets, toys or tabards.

Tabards that can be bought at friendly (Cata and WotLK ones) are the only sensible cause to spend badges on commendations.
18 commendation for most of them to reach friendly, which is doable (next year at least).

Exalted is (nearly) impossible for the time.
And again this is one of these moments I hate the fact that I started this new f2p-account after many WotLK reps were easy buyable in Dalaran as a f2p...:mad::mad::mad:

Pets and toys are BoA and so should be done on alts, not mains. Only things to be done on mains are commendation badges and cooking recipes (esp if you have a GF'ed f2p with 375 cooking). And you need only 6 commendation badges per faction to reach friendly for all the Wrath / Cata tabard wearing factions, not 18.

Ma'am, I apologise for my math fail. Of course it's only 6.
I do all the achievements on my main, so Thunderfury comes first, Chocolate Cake recipe would be nice, but this 1.1% chance, oh my...
I'll get the lvl70 fishing bags on my main instead (10% chance for a pet), as it is the only char (of my massive number of 2 chars) which has the hearth in the shrine and therefore access to Shattrath. And finally start to save for the Tabard of the Earthen Ring, as it is matching my mog.

Yep, I am a little bit weird, because I only get Av, pets, mounts which are obtainable on an ally char without p2p help.
So no horde-only pets and no horde mounts.
 
I'm not trying to burst bubbles here, but you all realize that Quest NPC is only active from today until November 30th right? That means each Character can only gain a maximum (ever) of 575 Badges (375 via the Daily + the 200 from the Gift Box) using this method. However, it is true that ANY Level/Character/type can earn the one time 200 and the daily 25.

Now before anyone starts thinking of how many new Characters they can make, use, mail, delete, keep in mind that there are no TW Vendors active atm (the actual Vendors, not the NPC in Org/SW that only sells the 5 vanity items). That means you're still stuck with the maximum Character limit per Account.... However, looking at the map there does seem to be 1 single day of overlap before the daily NPC and the mailed Gift Box go away and the new MoP TW even starts. I'll let you think about what that could mean for low level Twinks.
 
F2Ps can only get 375 per year as I've noted above, since we can't access the gift box (rip). And I don't think there would be any issues buying from the regular timewalking vendors since the currency is in the currency tab and not earmarked as event specific.

You're assuming that this will be the new Blizz anniversary 'Event' and quite frankly I'd wager it's one time only, ever. The point I made about the normal TW Vendors not being up is for another reason, which I was trying to be sly about because I don't want Blizz nerfing what already exists, I'll msg you what I meant.
 
Nah, we as f2p are used to burst bubbles.
We get 375 badges per char max.
No mailing. No 200 badges from Blizz's mail.
So it's one or two items we can get this year per char.
Or we decide to save the badges and hope for another similar event in coming years.

We don't need bubbles, cause bubbles require soap, and if you bend down to pick up the soap, Blizz comes up from behind and f**** your a**.:eek:
 
Big dissapointment is that you CAN"T buy any gear from the vendor even i despite the fact it scales to your level...
on level 20 i though i will be able to get those sweet trinkets level 27 but i got the message "you need to be level 80 or higher to buy this item"
as a vet spare yourself a time couse you won't be able to get anything your Main charr can't sent you.
And if you are FTP you can only obtain 1 tabard from Cata/Wotlk...
 
Rendering a really crude video atm so more people will be able to get their 25 badges before reset at 3:00. Assuming that this is the only chance of getting our TWB and 375 is the limit, what should and could be done?

Pets on alts (corgi, fishing bags), rep to friendly on main? Could we get 2 reps to friendly if used DMF + 10% rep buff from like halloween or pilgrim (I think)?
