Its just the galliw swagAs much as I hate to admit it, and as much as I want to blame gear, pallies aren't looking swell. I can get more spellpower, I had cogspinner goggles of spirit on and not gnomish power goggles, but the spellpower scaling on pally heals is non existent if there is any. Al most all of my gear was broken and my shocks healed for about 100 less than they were previously. Also, my flashes are terribly expensive. I can get at the most twenty chained in combat, and I watched galli in his tank set spam regrowth, and he regened almost all of the mana used by the end of the cast with no spirit stacking. On the bright side, we were talking about a healer per tank and a raid healer, and I think a pally would dominate that role through holy radiance and beacon of light. Just bacon one tank and heal the other. Two people healed at the same time. It could allow me to be more mana efficient because I would have a little slack to shock and eternal flame, which don't use much mana(none for flame). And then melee takes a big aoe hit? No problem! Holy radiance. Done. The more that I think about it the more I think that pallies are just not meant to flash spam. I want to try essence of eranikus' shade in place of power of the high chief to just get more casts, and I really just want to try two solid healers and me on raid to see the effect. I don't want to reroll, but if my plan doesn't work then let's face it, pallies are just not cut out for it and I'll go ret or try to get the hang of priest (the reason I rolled pally was because I understand the class way more than the others). Finally I'm Bubbleblowin by the way, and it's a safe bet if you see someone somewhere named edwaaardo or edwaardo it's probably me. Good job guys tonight, long live fifty.
What exactly is the hit required for retribution? I need to know for the chardevs and if they only use a rotaion of crusader strike, judgement, new exorcism and templar's or div storm, they would only need the special attack cap which is the same as 1h, making them very viable. In cata you used old spell exo, holy wrath and consecration which were spells, but now they don't need to hit that cap with those spells gone, right? Shockadin dps looks nice, if you rolled dranei you could hit 32% hit with almost 400 intellect, and I know you need more than that but it could be done due to the fact that unlike the tooltip says it's not just 15% hit on shock, denounce, and judge, but all spells. I was messing around with shockadin in service entrance with my healing gear and flashlight instead of mindtap tali and was pulling 1000 dps single target with no glyphs, not even holy shock damage. Just saying testing might be in order. Kind of sucks we're talking about resto shammy, I was going to roll that at first and then switched to pally because of how secure I am with that class. Unfortunate. I wish I had daybreak(changed to next holy shock after holy radiance heals all in ten yards), Light of dawn, and divine light to use instead of flash. Pallies have been turned from a tank healing class in tbc to now end game raid heals to challenge holy priests, just not at fifty. I also noticed how much I lost my movement in 5.0.4, no more instant cast flashes just sucks. The kurinaxx fight was way different. We also lost our cooldowns completely, I had aura mastery(2% physical damage reduction, ehh) and divine favor. So Zeph, long story short it's bad. Any ability for prot paladins was wiped out with the removal of the gem slot. You could go jc 350 and get a 51 stam gem, now it's just a short road to one shot land. I thought ret was a solid choice, but I guess not. Also, what about Blackstorm leggings? 30 stamina, 16 agi and 10 hit, even though they are leather. I think galli should roll them over what he's currently using. There is a place for dodge in my mind, but it needs to be balanced. He could have 98% dodge, but if he gets hit that 2% of the time, he's gone. I would use them in any tank, but maybe the armor is more important than I realize.
