US FIFTY - Classic Raiding done right - We need YOU!

I think i have the worst luck. I just made 20 Cogspinner goggles and i didnt get the ones with hit/agility on them.

i want to gear my shaman for this but doubt a enhance shaman can out dps a hunter, and trying to get the of the tiger goggles worries me lol

enh might come close since they can get up there in expertise and hit. prolly be about even once mop launches and hunters actually need exp and not just 8% (or in this case ~17%) hit
but you can probably take the battle goggles and make up hit anywhere else if you needed to, since enh gets 6% free hit

side note for hunters on first boss, noticed our pets took an asston of dmg and highly doubt healers care or have the time to help us keep them alive, so i was having to recall my pet and cast mend pet here and there to keep it alive.

i put 2 points into bloodthirsty (your pet has a 20% chance on attack to heal 5% of its total health over 5 sec) might work out better then 2 points in culling the herd (2% dmg increase when pet lands a crit with a basic attack) since if pet is dead you dont get the boost from it anyway

last nights boss kill i had 1 point in bloodthirsty and 1 point i hadnt used and pet died if left on its own, assuming it was to the sandtraps not sure

Sandtrap - Random sandtraps spawn under player's feet. If they fully erupt before the player can move they take 2000 damage, are silenced and have their chance to hit reduced by 75% for 20 seconds. so im pretty sure it was the traps killing the pets

also looking over recount charts for the boss kill both hunters had some misses which im going to assume is based on getting hit by the sand traps, all and all was fun to go in there and do this, look forward to our next raid

I'm debating not even sending my pet in and just holding him next to me to keep the buff up since aoe damage kills him easily and they cant hit bosses (most attacks do like 5-15 damage) On our kurinaxx kill my pet did a total of 3500 damage while he did die and probably coudlve done ~5k we also lost our agility buff for the last minute or so of the fight and 5k can be made up with 1. having the agility buff for everyone and 2. better trap placement or tanks making sure it walks over the traps when it needs to be kited for lock n load procs.

So it's starting to look like 3PM PST - 6PM PST (3 hours minimum) is going to be our established raid time. This is of course subject to change and likely will down the line, but let me know if you can't attend, and what time is better for you, along with how long you'd be able to keep up your suggested time for.

I'm not sure which spec is the best dps, what are the advantages of going sub over combat?

After doing just a little bit of testing my dps had gone up significantly from when I was in combat, I think I'll keep my combat spec for groups since it does more dps in that situation thanks to blade flurry, but definitely sub for when single target damage is needed. I'm going to keep testing to see how much I can maximise dps.

6 eastern is really hard for to make it, as we saw for the first night unless its saturday, closer to 8 easter is a safer bet for me time wise

kept my pet alive the whole fight, just have to watch his health and hit mend pet now and then and recall him if he gets to low and heal him then send him back in

We'll try to aim for 6 EST on Saturday. Would you be able to make it? And if we tried 8 EST Friday would you be able to make that?

What about everyone else? I know we're supposed to discuss this in full tomorrow but I'm just throwing out ideas.

I can make these times most of the time but honestly 7 or even preferably 8 would be much better for me as well.

I am going to have to say the same thing. On weekends the time doesnt matter, but during the week 7 or 8 would be a better starting time for me.

If it's at 6 EST on Saturday I probably can only come for the first hour or so maybe, if it's at 8 definitely not at all. If it's on friday any time will work for me.
I know this conflicts with a lot of other player's schedules so I'll prob have to sit this one out :(

Went ahead and finally finished my last enchants. All I'm missing is my Stinging Bow for a 1 Stamina upgrade. If you've got one on Spinebreaker or see one let me know!

I am at 7699 unbuffed and with just Last Stand I break the 10k barrier (albeit momentarily)!

I also went ahead and completed my transmog set. AQ Nature themed!
