US FIFTY - Classic Raiding done right - We need YOU!

Amazing raid tonight, we killed Kurinaxx, Ayamiss, Moam, and Buru. We skipped Rajaxx but we will go back and kill him later. Just need to kill him and Ossirian, we'll be into MC again in no time.

I got a sexy screenshot but the vent info's in my chat box. To lazy to paint it out. Great night for raiding. It makes me feel like I'm good at this game.

So yeah, this is my dream team build:

5 Tanks:

2 Prot Warriors
2 Monk Tanks
1 Prot Paladins

15 Healers:

2 Resto Shamans
4 Disc Priests
3 Resto Druids
2 Holy Paladins
4 Monk Healers

20 DPS:

7 Hunters
3 Demo Locks
4 Assassin Rogues
3 Arms Warriors
3 Monk DPS

Tanking:
2 Prot warrior tanks obviously. they'll be the 2 main tanks.
2 Monk tanks. Monks will basically be the same thing as a bear tank except they'll have a lot more stam and better AoE tanking.
1 Prot Paladin tank. Keeping this guy handy mainly for Tanking any bosses or NPCs that do magic dmg. They tank magical dmg the best.

Healers:
2 Resto Shamans for their health buffs/CDs. Their job is mainly to keep the health buff on all the tanks and throw off heals on the raid and ofc dispel.
2 Holy Paladins for raid heals. Their job will be raid heals, keep sacred shield up on both main tanks and ofc dispel.
4 Resto Druids for Tank Healing. Resto Druids have IMO the best single-target healing. If you have all their HoTs up on the tank then they can do a really good job keeping them alive. 2 for each main tank.
3 Monk Healers. Monks have it all. HoTs, Absorbs, AoEs, Direct Heals, etc etc. Monks will be right up there with disc priests.
4 Disc Priests. Overall best healers. Gotta have 4 of them.

DPS 10 Ranged 10 Melee
Picked the DPS who are actually useful and can actually do decent DPS.

7 Hunters. Best ranged DPS
3 Demo Locks. Locks have the best ranged AoE DPS. They dont need any hit rating because they spam Harvest Life. 3 battle resses plus Dark Bargin Tanking for any reason needed.
4 Assassin Rogues. best melee dps atm if you are BiS geared. a BiS geared rogue will out dps any melee DPS.
3 Arms Warriors. Good melee dps that can still do great damage without needing expertise. Overpower allows them to constantly DPS without worrying about being dodged/parried.
3 Monk DPS. They are basically like rogues and because they gear like them, they can achieve hit cap w/ dual-wielding.

EDIT: For anyone who doubts that Prot Paladins can tank, they may not have as much Health as Prot Warriors, but they actually can achieve much more dmg reduction than them, especially against Magic DMG.

Cer about the dps monks I think slavedriver's cane would be better than dual wield becuase less hit cap means more room for agi, and it looks like 2h monks will pull about the same as dual wield meta game, kind of like frost dk's but dual wield with them is a lot more superior than I think dual vs 2h monks than will. Otherwise spot on.

Ah than a Monk DPS will be gearing exactly like a Feral Druid minus the kitty form :)

So about chardevs......
They've been doing work but still no random enchants for cogspinners. However, heirloom gear now shows level appropriate stats, so I'll get the cloth wearing dps out soon. There was some talk about ele shamans being the only hope for caster dps, so I messed around in wowhead item compare and got a build that has 58.04% hit. It's not ruthless, you could get five more hit at the cost of 49 intellect, but that's just stupid. Also, for those of you wondering, and I have tested this, your base spirit is not factored into the spirit to hit because it is only spirit from items and effects. The human racial(5% bonus to max spirit) does work, but it's negligible, like at the most 0.1% hit because of some biased scaling into hit, so anyone going hardcore shadow priest will have to be dranei(heroic presence, 1% hit)

If 49s get boring I'll faction my spriest

Warlocks can DPS effectively with Harvest Life. Harvest life CANNOT miss, therefore you dont need any hit rating.

We tested on Olethafifty and she did 500 DPS on 9 targets but if you look at her gear it's pretty garbage. I'm pretty sure you could triple that DPS or even more if you geared BiS. Not to mention the warlock's Pet DPS wasn't being taken into account.

I foresee warlocks being pretty good AoE DPS.

Doop, and any hunters, if you're still having expertise problems, you're a dwarf. Using a gun will give you 1% ranged expertise. The bow you're using gives a lot of haste, but precisely calibrated boomstick has been buffed to give a ton of agility (46 I believe) along with it's higher base dps. This could make dwarf hunters the best race if boomstick is bis. Also galli thats debatable, it depends if you need mindtap for your second trinket, which if you are using that you have no slots for the gnome. You're probably right though. Shadow is a dot class, so as long as you can get the dot on, you're doing dps, as opposed to ele which is more nuke spells.
Also the harvest life dps is highly situational. If you have that many mobs you'll do fine, but there aren't a lot of aoe situations like that. And no one has addressed blood pact. I think we should have a full support harvest life destro warlock for the stamina buff.

Even if the warlock can manage to pull out 150-200 single target DPS with harvest life, that's still really really good. Most non-boss fights will have anywhere from 2-6 NPCs for each pull. That means you'll be doing anywhere from 400-1200 DPS without needing any hit rating or doing any sort of DPS rotation. And not to mention, when you go into Metamorph you do even more damage.

Plus you'll mostly want warlocks there for the battle res.

Guys I have some REALLY bad news. I was playing on my aff lock, and harvest life was missing. Quite a lot actually. Affliction is in a bad place at my level haha. But seriously, it was missing, so maybe they hotfixed it. Locks will have to do it the old fashioned way.

Great pvp guys. I'll be on my f2p, so just send me something on ti when thirk comes back on
EDIT: Actually I'm out. See you all

How goes the 50 raiding? My wife and I were interested in the project and have started to level up a pair of fifty's.
I was going to follow the Chardevs, however they seem to no load properly for me. Could you like a near BiS warlock and resto shaman please?

We'll probably need to do more testing, but currently Caster DPS isn't possible because you cant achieve enough hit rating to do DPS past 250 on single target. Most DPS need to be able to do 450+ DPS to get through progression.

With Chardev not up-to-date, it's fairly difficult to Link a BiS Chardev/armory.

Currently the Viable DPS are:

Hunters
Rogues
Feral Druids(requires more testing)
Warriors

We foresee Monk's being incredibly viable DPS(they very well may be the best DPS)

Elemental Shamans are the only Caster DPS that can achieve the most Hit rating, but until further testing is conducted; we've concluded that it's still not possible to achieve hit cap with them nor is it possible to get to 450 DPS in raids on bosses.

Resto Shamans however have a lot of great buffs and CDs that are very useful to the raid. For 40man Raids, Resto Shaman's will be offhealing the raid while keeping their health buff up on all the tanks(there will be 5+ tanks in 40man raids).

I'll do my best to link you BiS Resto Gear for Shamans.
