Priest it is then!
I've played a priest for a year and have raided end game (TBC & MOP) content. I mostly did Normal, but didn't struggle too much in heroics either.
I unfortunately will need to refresh my memory on the content you all are raiding. It's been a while since I've been in there / we ignored mechanics on our farm runs.
Some questions.
How often do you raid?
What professions do you need for guild?
Do you have a preference of Holy or Disc? I'm good at both.
We try to raid every Saturday. The professions at 50 are more for you than the guild. Engineering is a must, alchemy is generally the bis profession for mixology. Leatherworking for drums buffs is the only profession that would aid the raid, and gathering professions are decent if herbs are too expensive to buy or you don't have a higher level with herbalism. We have a couple of disc priests already, so stacking more would be bad. I would go holy.
And while I respect your experience, just so you don't get the wrong idea, this project is fairly casual. The vanilla raid mechanics are pretty simple(mind control all the things) and our tanks and healers are pretty op for the content, so its not as much about the encounter as it is downing things before they become too much of a problem.
