F2P Addon

I'm guessing you've been making/deletitng a fair few alts. Unfortunately the addon can't tell that they've been deleted, so the list of alts it sends to everyone when you log in has grown bigger than what can be sent in a single message.



You could purge your entire database using the procedure at the bottom of the first post in this thread, which should fix the problem. The database is used for a few things to do with message blocking and passing channel ownership, but nothing important that won't be replaced once you've been online a few days.
 
Wiping the database as you suggested took care of the initial problem, but then white text "removing friends from list : #" was repeatedly appearing in the chatpane. Also removing all friends using the procedure at the bottom of the first post in this thread took care of the problem and it's working fine now.

I'll make sure to reupload the F2PAddon.zip as soon as the forums are able to host it again, for the moment the 1st post has been fixed to include the smaller F2PI.zip

Agreed. Keep on keeping on. Spread the word. Make sure that kid never plays with other 20s. Keep him miserable.
 
Weren't you going to implent a feature which would allow some to kick some others out of the channel? This would give us a great testing possibility.
 
Well I could have the addon give owner/moderator to the people who have the highest time seen online. It would have to be F2P 20s only though, to keep just anyone from simply idling in the channel to log more time. That way the people who are most active on their F2Ps would be the ones who get to moderate.

The trouble is keeping anything like this secure, when people can modify the code in their addon to give moderator to whoever they want, otherwise I'd have a list of approved moderators in the addon, that people pass to whenever they log in.
 
I'll have to take a look at the API reference, and see if there are any functions that can check if you're talking to a GM. I've dropped the level limit to 10, since there might be a few people who want to level in BGs together.
 
There's an Alliance paladin Bubbajay griefing the Horde side with his rogue Råpterollin. He's banning random people out of the channel.
 
ok i hawe instaled the addon but it seems not to work ?? my freind list is empty and i am the only one in f2ptwink channel

any idea what i hawe to do ??
