Druid vs Shammy

hey guys! I'm stuck trying to decide if I should go druid or shammy in terms of better healing and dps overall. I'm also trying to see which one is better in terms of fun and survivability as well.

All feedback is appreciated! :D

If you’re comparing specifically resto Druid to resto shaman then yes that ^

Druid:
Boomy is one of the top DPS
Druid is more versatile.
Rdruids healing is stronger than rshamans and can pick people up quickly.
As for rdruid damage it’s significantly less than rsham but not by a huge gap.

Shaman:
Your stuck and playing resto
And you wind shear

Imo go druid

Druid is probably better suited for BGs, especially puglife. You're slippery, rdruid has the best burst heals in the bracket, bearform makes you tanky as hell, you can cover huge areas quickly, and your damage output is respectable. If you get caught out alone, you can probably also get to safety between bear form, swiftmend and dash. If you play like a dumbass like me, druid (especially resto) is super forgiving.

Shaman is definitely better suited towards arena and if you're playing with friends/guildies who can take advantage of your utility. Windshear is great 1v1 and in team fights where your team is aware enough to take advantage of it. But solo que, it can be frustrating to kick a healer and see your dps just... farting around. Dropping a totem to split an EFC from his heals is slick as hell unless your DPS is busy trying play defense for a flag thats no longer in base. but when you get a chance to do cool shit, you can do some really cool shit.

Never decide which class you're going to play based on current numbers. Those numbers are subject to change periodically, so you might as well play the class with the theme/playstyle that you enjoy most. (try not to consider variables such as spells, since those are vulnerable to change as well)

I'm also trying to see which one is better in terms of fun and survivability as well.

"Fun" is a subjective preference that only you can calculate. I personally, have a lot of fun on both of these classes.

Shamans currently are extremely durable as restoration. Being a mobile class, with the ability to slow & silence enemies allows them to prevent a great deal of damage from happening to them in the first place.

Druids have always been a staple class in low-level twinking. Extremely versatile, mobile, durable & always pulls reliable numbers. If you're looking for something that consistently proved to be a dependable class, you should lean towards a druid.
