Dragonflight Stat Squish

I love the gear changes. I don't hate overscaled GF'd gear, but I also don't want it to exist. I'm interested in how gear scaling will work in our current PvP situation (poorly I assume).

Finally, my time to shine! But I still can't decide what class to play...

They REALLY need to tell us if class skills are being changed around or if talents like Improved Barksin on druids or those Soul Leech talents on warlock are 100% worthless for us. Barkskin and Soul Leech are still level 24, and I don't think the devs would be incompetent enough t-

Legion epic boe and also other SL-era epic is i63 for 20. I28 blues armor boes ilvl 55. I27 SL-era 18 scaled epicweapont is i57. Lvl 18 epic legion boe is 57 (if they don’t change enchant ilvl, you want this for neck enchant vs lvl 20)

bfa-era pre-SL scaled items aren’t increased ilvl, and same with crafted gear, heirlooms, and other unscaled versions of items, so it’s not done yet


Level 1 boe greens went from ilvl 5 to ilvl 1 and lost all stats.
Lvl 1 “quest scaling” blue (elwynn rare) went from ilvl 3 to ilvl 7
Lvl 6 legion boe greens went from i13 to i16

Whooo, remember there are the draenor garrison quests that pop up if your average ilvl is at a certain level? Will the increase in ilvl affect the spawn rate of those?

i wonder if there's a chance that quest items are overall the weakest items now? also still no access to shadowlands on chromie time, kinda wondering how strong those items will be tbh

also!! important, these enchants seem to be finally working again, lowkey forgot the name but this ring is giving 10 vers instead of 6

Dunno if this helps, this was ilvl31 or something on retail, its now ilvl81 on beta

tested out the gems that require high ilvl to apply, unfortunately scaling down to only +2 or +3 instead of +8 or +10, 53% crit though pog secondary stat weights do feel a bit eased up now compared to live. kinda wondering what the absolute max amount of crit/haste/mast/vers someone can get on a 20/29 come df. also, elekk tusk gives 69 mast now, nothing amazing by current standards but on ptr for unholy dk thats about 35% mast for frost about 40%

if the ilvl goes up but the secondary stat %s we have stay the same then it's whatever.. the only nerf/buff I could then see is

not being able to enchant gear anymore (ilvl 50+) which is a NERF (should enchant everything now
buff being i think we'd get access to other enchants/gems that require over ilvl 50?

Garrison missions are currently broken for me beta. Reports in. Let you know when it’s fixed
 
lol I have a bunch of warforged ter gear from wod dungeons just from running them for fun on several toons. Would anyone be able to test raid gear n the beta? if it was also scaled up or not? Just wanna know if I need to regear my 30s/35s
 
Does anybody have a non farmed, original unscaled destiny, Edward, skullflame etc? They were/are ilv28 I’m curious to see if they got any scaling.

I have an unscaled vanilla i28 weapon and it did not receive any scaling.

wondering if others have seen this as well.

also. My ilv25 (now 60) balefire is now basically just as powerful as the epic mythic ilv 85 balefire (which did not scale up) balefire. Insane.

It appears that raid gear is not scaling. Like others.
