Destiny

Still worth keeping for when it's fixed. There are loads of scaled epics that don't proc, some are BiS still, others not so much.

Keep writing in those tickets.

Let me ask this as well.. would Destiny be worth using even if it did proc? with no stats would you ever use it say over the princess hammer?

100% yes to at least testing, we need more Ret testing for other items too. That's basically constant Crusader buff. There's a lot of cool combinations for warriors anyways @ the 39 level with different stat sticks and procs.

Are druids/priests OP in this bracket like every other? If so, I’m all for it being fixed to work, to close gaps

Disc is god tier/completely idiot proof, fury is also insane. Boomkins/disc running around with Edwards and fury with destiny is unlikely to make things more fun imo.

If it was a scaled Destiny with a working proc, ya.

is there a lvl30+ destiny ? i have never seen one .. i have only gotten the lvl48 for the 40s bracket, i have seen lvl43 before or 41 i cant remember but they are not BIS destiny for the 40s bracket due to their lower stats than the lvl48

I kind of hope they don't get fixed.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. A good warrior/Ret will be weapon swapping for 3+ Crusader procs at once.
Pretty much the exact same thing as a Destiny proc.

I'm referring to Destiny/epic weapons damage spread tho versus blue weapons, would you still use it?

Most of the 39 bracket epics don't have stats, but higher damage... does that pay off?

Scepter pressure is way too much to ignore. You have RNG burst that opens up kill windows. It might be something worth looking into for Ret since you're only relying on 1 weapon for your damage. Best epic weapon for what you're talking about would be a scaled https://www.wowhead.com/item=2801/blade-of-hanna&bonus=3968 then. A weapon such as Destiny w/o its proc is pretty lackluster since the damage spread doesn't make up for lost stats or procs. Even if all things were even, I would prefer burst over sustained in this meta.

To add on, I currently think for Fury, Scepter/Hanna is the way to go without Jackhammer access.

I have one currently at Lv38, iLv51 with 164 Str proc. Holding for future possible use.

Since I don't open another thead for no reason,

How good is Ret in the 39s? In the 29s Id say Fury is just a bit better than Retribution if you know what you are doing, how goofy do weapons like Princess Scepter make Fury at 39s?... is that gap the same or is Fury just off in space somewhere on a super-man level?

All ppl rolling new warriors for 39 should get aids and die off. Natural selection, yknow?

Retpal is pretty solid tho, based off the few that I've played against. Not as cancerous as warrior, but still skrong. I have one I am gearing currently, am looking forward.

It's tough because you're asking a Fury Warrior, the state of Fury. BUT, I think the reason why it's so mongo is the sheer quantity of them in the bracket, which will die down with 8.1 and as people reroll or change classes.

That being said, I think Fury is pretty damn good in small skirmishes due to its tremendous pressure, but warriors have always been damage bots with minimal interaction. If you have one on your team, you HAVE to dispel for them or other ranged classes like Arcane/Boomkin/Hunters will catch up. Now, with them being on the other team, they're useless when snared or CCd. It does take a pretty big group effort to make their impact minimal.

As for Ret, there are more on the Alliance side I would say. I wouldn't say they are weak at this level, cause they hurt pretty damn badly, I just don't think they're played as often to get realistic impressions. The snare they have, freedom, they bring a lot of utility to your team as well and would be welcomed by any premade.

is fury getting nerfed in 8.1? if not.. doubtful it will die down. I would however take a skilled ret over a warrior any day. offheals/bof/huge stun(pulls a trinket almost every time = yay cc trains inc) solid dmg/bubble. Warrior currently is only OP because there are so many of them and they each come with 3 gap closers. Sadly with disc nerf incoming.. I hope I am wrong, but I don't see that changing but only getting worse.

Warrior is getting no changes except Prot come 8.1, but several classes are getting decent buffs. I think the gap will closen. In terms of dying down, I just see a lot of mediocre middle of scoreboard warriors right now. They go down pretty easily without their pockets holding them up. I think more people will roll casters as the buffs come in. I wish mages were more prominent Horde and there was more spec variety overall - and that's not changing either.

Personally, I'm a huge advocate for Stormbolt over DT, haven't run DT except for maybe one or two games this patch. The only complaints I can justify for warrior: there's a lot of them & Scepter proc is strong.

Alas, this doesn't change much overall. I encourage more Rets to come to the table.

What, specifically, about 8.1 makes you think people won't play fury so much? I don't think there will be as much reroll as you might expect, especially when people have put a lot of time and gold into their fwars...

And it won't any time soon, especially since I do equal DPS as arcane just spamming missiles as fire with nothing but crits on the theramore dummies :/
