Now, if Stabatha hosts other websites what is stopping him from doing the same to them?

Again, these people have stolen ALL of our emails and IP adresses from xpoff.com. And unscrupulous individuals have access to that information now.

We lost quite a lot of ppl when TI became Xpoff, most of the ppl I played with were never seen or heard from again.. Even tho i belive Yde was here for the first few months iirc.

It matters. We had an active site with a lot of ppl using, a lot of whom might only check once a month or so, after your "forced hijack" there are a lot of ppl I never got in contact with again, they never showed up on xpoff, so you might THINK you did it for community, yet we THINK you did it for adrevenue, twinks be damned.

Nobody wanted/needed you to force myrm into handing TI over, we never had to donate to keep TI running, if you want to open a business dont cry to your customers that you have to pay rent.
It's on you.

Also TI was alot more "alive" that this site ever was.

I don't take these kind of statements personally anymore as they are mostly just misinformed, I haven't made more than I spent here, xpoff wasn't even my idea, I was approached by shamatix who offered to build the site with chap, I took the issue to the community to decide, these are the facts of what transpired, myrm and the community could have forced me out, I was running ti financially and logistically, even admins we're going to me as a moderators and bracket manager for descisions making. A great many people knew TI was rapidly falling apart, a very experienced developer who helped with many twink projects once suggested to fix the site over 100 hours of work would be neccissary, which eggy was willing to do yet was denied access, despite me bringing him into the fold, he was not denied by my hand.

Edit: reread this, I said it wasn't personal but this isn't a business, and none of you are my customers, that suggestion is actually insulting.

The proper/responsible thing to have done was to send out an apology to everyone first prior to a redirect to this thread. Man up and fix yourself.

 

The people that should be apologizing are the ones that stole tens of thousands of our posts, emails & IPs (including yours) and then made duplicates of them on another site without anyone’s permission. Yes, they quite literally committed electronic ID theft.
And now people are getting IP banned on the duplicate site that haven’t even posted on it simply because they have spoken out against it this site.

What they did is illegal and everyone sees that. What I’m getting at though is that Conq, being the owner of this site, isn’t taking any responsibility at all from what I see. Ultimately it is his actions and duck up that compromised everyones info and an apology should’ve came first.

 

Ahh XPOff, never change. Every few months I check this site there's been some hilarious debacle within the last week.

That being said, the concept that XPOff was created via hostile takeover is pretty hilarious. I was around back then, and talked with some of the founding members before XPOff was open to the public. XPOff was created because Myrm was COMPLETELY MIA, no one knew where he was at all. Conq is actually contactable and (it appears) still somewhat active on this website, I'm sure he'd respond to a PM or an @.

A lot of users did move to XPOff upon creation, yes, but it was primarily the 19 playerbase. Plenty of users were still using TwinkInfo prior to the merge. Myrm could've kept TwinkInfo up if he would've liked to; not even all of the 19s (the VAST majority of the userbase at the time, I remember there were only a handful of other bracket players) were using XPOff, let alone XPOff exclusively. Most of them continued using TwinkInfo. I'm not even someone who supported XPOff, either.

Just a bunch of mental defective people making claims they clearly know nothing about.

 

It's all good, I always liked you as a person, yet it seemed(limited knowledge due to everything being hidden from the community) like the only reason to ditch TI was adrevenue. Which cost me, personally, the feel of being connected to a community, it honestly felt like xpoff was more or less only used by US ppl. Most of the peeps I talked to on TI from EU, didnt make the move with xpoff, and when you introduced the royal lounge (divided the community even more into the haves vs havenots) I deleted my grandfathered acc. caus I dont want to be entitled to content others are not.
Community and all..
Also, alot of my friends felt xpoff was going to be "Twink site under the dictatorship of Pizza" as in accs being banned, EU part being downplayed, kindda like how Pizza would ever only put US/SR players into the Gear Guide / Armory threads, just extrapolated upon by a lot.

I'm sorry you took it as an insult, but it did feel like the ~10$(adrevenue) a month was the deciding factor for ditching ½ our community. Again I'm speaking from the PoV of a member.
And having discord chats leaked where you call the twink community "idiots" "leeches" etc. may have been a bad move (PR wise)... Ofc I dont know if those were real or not, but my gut feel tells me they were real.

Had this site been open and honest and had discussions rather than convoluted and directly false information(maskirovka) fed to the masses, it would have been in a different spot today.

How is Devm & Mvq being IP banned a bad thing for the community..?

True, but the behind-laying intentions/mindset of being willing to divide/split a niché community to accommodate Blizzard/Google(cant have exploits/clever us of game mechs available to all), is rather indicative of focusing on personal profit/gains rather than the community as an entity. Imo/PoV.
I mean why would we give a duck about google or blizz "acknowledging" our forums where we share ideas/findings/bugs etc.
I could ofc be wrong, since, again, the community is not being included in these processes.

Sorry if it sounds as personal attacks/ridicule, it is not meant that way, rather a final vent of build-up-frustrations over a given period of time.

I don't think I need any fixing, and this doesn't have anything to do with being a "man". I've accepted responsibility in private conversations, I should have mentioned that immediately here, between everything going on IRL and getting the site back up, I lost track of the blame game, truth is my ambition to progress the twink community lead me to be over trusting for an unscrupulous individual who took advantage of my genuine care for the community, now i'm not a saint and I make a lot of mistakes, this mistake...the buck stops with me, because I was trusted to safeguard this website, in a wise twinks words "you took the mantle", and yes allowing stabatha access... it was foolish, stupid, and it wont happen again, and I am sorry and upset about the issues this has caused others and myself.

 

TI had a royal lounge too, cant remember what it was called aswell as the chat box. The lounge even got a ghost for entrance sign after a while cause none used it.

 

It really doesn't my friend. Part of the reason why TI was "chosen" so very long ago.
