Conq trusted Stabatha, someone believed to be a reputable member of this community, with access to sensitive information.

I don't know the extent of Arkte's involvement with Stabatha, but it appears the long con was played.

Despite any differences people may have with Conq or the direction of the website, the attempt at a hostile takeover was ethically wrong and illegal.

They tried to justify their actions by claiming every 'Founder' was in approval of their actions, however they left out their ill intentions and shady motives.

These staff members claimed that Arkte and Stabatha approached them saying they were creating an entirely new website for the community because they disapproved of how Conq ran it, when instead, they were in the middle of committing a felony by hijacking the XPOFF & TI dB, redirecting the domain, maliciously setting up a 7 day TTL on the DNS, and more to sabotage the website.

Arkte states in his 'Welcome' post that members no longer have to worry about greed and corruption of staff, except that's exactly what their website is completely built upon, let alone the reason why he was removed from the administration in the first place.

How was Stabatha involved? He had a very shady past and IIRC I had beef with him more than 5 years ago but he wasn't so shady recently - or at least it seemed.

Is there any legal action that can be taken against them? I've watched all seasons of Suits. Maybe we could slap them with a class action lawsuit.

The original twink forums were called BattlegroundForums, which then changed to PwnDepot. Once that started dying, everybody moved to Twinkinfo, which started as Drayner's blog directed towards doing exploits on twinks. Twinkinfo prior to having forums was actually looked down on by much of the community.

As you stated, later came XPOff, which was very similar drama to what we are experiencing now.

The community has been plagued with this sort of thing for over 12 years.

I can't speak for anybody but myself, but to me it seems like this was a culmination of some shady bizznizz, again. Guess I'll go with the site whom, to me, seems to be most upfront and honest. Xpoff doesnt rly score high in that regards concering the past year(s).

Still feel we should have stuck with Twinkinfo, Conqs adrevenue be damned.

Don't rly play anymore other than the odd pserver here or there, so I am essentialy just browsing the sites to soak drama, an area in which they seem to excel, keep up the good/bad(entertaining) work

this is why nobody respects xpoff staff, or especially conq.

stabatha hasnt been a reputable member of the community since 2008.

conq only promoted stab and gave access to sensitive information because stab was making a pserver and conq knows stab drains peoples bank accounts on his servers.

conq hasnt cared about the community for years, just look at every interaction and idea he has for this site, it's money driven.

just look at how happy the guy is about all this drama, he doesnt care that he's lost months of content on this site, he's just happy he gets to sue people.

I started back with twinkinfo over 5 years ago. I know that's nothing compared to some people here however that's half a decade of my life that I spent reading and contributing to a site.

Randomly one day I logged on and realized it became xpoff without any notice. Every other month there's new forum rules that people have to abide by or get banned. Every other week there's some new mod or admin.

I started as a F2P and came here to read and learn from the single best section this site has ever had, the cata F2P section. I would learn new things everyday and was apart of the most helpful community there was.

Then people stopped helping more and more, then people started leaving, then we're here. A forum where the people in charge are more unstable than a blizzard developer during patch week. A forum where what few people that are left are forced to decide each day which "direction" they want to go.

I feel, with complete sadness, that this site is doomed to crumble under itself. All I wish is that the newer twinks who are just getting into wow had the chance to join a forum like I did.

all the same information is here for new players looking for gear advice. if you choose to slum it and play forum peen measuring with the trolls, thats on you. even “back in the day” there were toxic players in ho posted, trolled, scammed items etc. choose not to engage them and enjoy the mini game we have. whats left of it anyways.

I hate to break it to you but this is completely false.

XPOFF was created as a totally separate website with a separate database, we then offered Myrm half ownership to merge us with TI, that is not theft, thats called making a deal, the entire 19s community witnessed this truth, nothing was ever taken from Myrm without consent, Myrm has as much right to this site as I do.

I also didn't lie to the founders and community to get them to back XPOFF, I always told the truth, so no these two circumstances are very different in every relevant way. Please don't make things up.

It's a shame people seem to have to constantly make up lies about me as the reason for disliking me, or not using XPOFF, it happens constantly. It's weird cuz i'm not even involved here anymore, i'm here now to protect the website in an emergency but besides that I have no active role here anymore as the staff does not need me to function.

Now i'm not saying i haven't made many mistakes, I have, I'm human and learning, but most the hate that people say to my face comes from made up stories by the likes of Arkte, Stabatha, and statements like this.

Twinkinfo was in a bad place and with the creation of the new site you forced Myrm to make the deal. It may not have been upfront theft but a coerced deal. He was the one who did spend all the money on the database. Even if now it belongs to you both.

That is a fair statement, I think I did what was best for the community at that time, some agree, some disagree, it matters not.

I heard he was spotted a few weeks back in game, I've been meaning to speak with him, I think he should get involved here again, the community would benefit from his presence, especially now that I am truly not very involved.

I don't think it matters much whether the owner is personally involved in the community or not - as long as the staff is. Worked fine with Shane imo.

The community is better off that way, in reality this recent drama is a small bump in the road, their ship is already crashing and burning and I haven't even met with my lawyer yet, which i'm doing later today. I think this community has a bright time ahead of it with BFA and Classic servers, nothing will stop that, i'll watch from afar.
