BG Honor Changes

This is is good news.
Now all we need is every class to be balanced at 20 and this bracket might be fun again.

No one really responded to your post so I'll give you the floor... you say that they're destroying WSG more, I assume you're referring to the changes to Focused Assault. Would you like to elaborate on how you feel this will destroy WSG? It will be different, that is for sure, but seeing how it applies equally on both sides, I'm not sure how it will destroy it. It will require different tactics, I agree, but destroy the game? Please expand your opinion.
 
They should do something where when u rez in BG you have that honorless buff for a minute. This would help stop farming.

I doubt anyone who farms in this bracket does it because they need honor tbh.
 
Instead of bonus honor for preventing caps, they should boost bonus honor for flag returns.

Well their goal was to make games faster, not more profitable. Encouraging people to 3-cap before the other team has a chance to cap makes it faster and more profitable. Encouraging people to return a lot of flags makes the game more profitable, but not faster. I think it would be cool to give bonus honor for people in a radius around a flag when it gets returned as well, so I like your idea. It just doesn't address their current goals.

That'd be a bad move, imo. You'd end up with teams turtling and "farming returns" instead of farming kills.

People would only have an incentive to return flags, not capture any. So, instead of 20 minute sessions at the Gy, players would spend 20 minutes sitting in their base trying to snatch as many returns as possible. Obviously, returns are a part of winning but no one would bother capping. They'd just want as many returns possible. In a sense, players would only be incentivized to do half the job of objective teamplay.

The change Blizz is bringing pushes people to stop enemy from capping (which includes returns) and to cap themselves to end the game. Honour per return would end up with people just caring about returns and not actual wins. This change, however, would push people to try and win (which would include killing Efc and returning the flag).

I think it's a good decision. Whether it's the best approach is always debatable but it's better than the usual half-assed solutions Blizz come up with. GhostCrawler leaving was a good decision, eh?

It could actually help end Gy farming;
i.e. Ending 2x 10 minute games at 3-0 (the average time it takes a one-sided 3-cap win) may perhaps* yield more honour than 1x 20 minute game at 3-0 (which would have farming).

*Just an assumption that will depend on how much honour we get from kills, though.
 
I like these changes a lot, yet old habits die hard, that is, you'd think the bonus for CTA would be enough incentive for people to play objectively and cap three flags so they can move on to the next game, but it isn't always.

I don't think this will do much to stop those people who just don't know any better from derping in mid, nor will it discourage those whose sole intent, from day one, is to troll the bracket (you all know who I'm talking about). I don't know what could possibly deter such things besides the re-implementation of some sort of dishonor system.
