Looking around, I'm not sure if there's anyone still here, but on the off-chance that there's even a handful of lurkers hoping to do 49s again, I thought I'd make this suggestion to you guys.
I used to play the 30-39 bracket back during TBC and WotLK, so you probably don't know me. I'll skip the introductions, and just say I hail from the private server Molten-WoW now. It's a blizz-like private server with a realm called Lordaeron on which we've built a pretty large twink community. Very active 19s 29s, and even some 39s and 49s.
In fact, my guild on horde, <Twink Inc>, has about a dozen members who have build 49 twinks. We've been having a lot of fun building them, and even ganking 60s in Hellfire Peninsula, and doing arena, but we could really go for some bg competition. I had originally planned on waiting until we had 15-20 49 twinks before doing some serious recruitment for the bracket, but I figured it might take a month for the potentially interested people to see this post, so I might as well put it up now.
Here's the thing: We're not especially skilled, but we're active, we love twinking, and we're not going anywhere. When we get bored playing our 49s, we play our 29s or 19s or 39s. If you've got a few friends, or better yet a small community, or know where to find more people, consider building 49 twinks on the alliance side on Molten. Just think, you've already got competition waiting for you, and willing to wait however long it takes you to find people. It'd take you a month at MAX to build decent enough twinks to have some fun pvp again. On the other hand, if you're alone, but still interested and would like to not be alone, we'll happily welcome you into our own guild. We're expecting the current alliance to form a 49 guild eventually even without people from here helping. It just probably won't happen for another 2-3 months.
