80 DK twinking - Some thoughts, plans and showoff

about that racial.
lets compare something to check stats scale from 90 to 80, let it be 1st expansion's season gladiator weapons:
Level 90 Dreadful Gladiator's Greatsword - Item - World of Warcraft
Level 80 Hateful Gladiator's Greatsword - Item - World of Warcraft

As you can see 80lvl one have 11.24x less stamina

Dreadful Gladiator's Dreadplate Helm - Item - World of Warcraft
Hateful Gladiator's Dreadplate Helm - Item - World of Warcraft

Here is 10x less stamina.

So for level 80 that racial will do "1265 to 1470" damage and healing.

It may be something that lower level twinks will just drool over. I have a feeling that it will be most effective for the lower levels than upper. This of course is all dependent on how it scales.

Scaling looks very linear from like 1-80 then starts rising exponentially from there. I could see 19s-49s really liking that racial, 19s it's ~100 healing.

You've geared up fast 0_0

Really? Man I feel like its just dragging along lol!!

Me and the old lady stayed at home this weekend so I had some time to chain cata dungeons and some wrath heroics lol! Im JP capped soooo.....pvp gear? Welfare Herald set? Primordials for Smourne (even though I have no idea how I'm gonna get it lol!)?

Are you forgetting about the scalar on damage from leveling? It's not just from gear.
I dont mean gear. I mean overall coefficients on 80 and 90. I compared those gears only to find how less numbers(any numbers) are on level 80 compared to 90; didnt find level 90 mobs on wowhead, so i've tried to see it on gear.

If you don't mean gear, don't compare it with gear. Compare base stats of an un-geared character. Gear scaling is rather different.

I like boys, that is all.

I got Stone Watcher to 4% and he enraged! Twice! Lol!

I'll try again with higher dps stats and less survival stats. I'm pretty sure I can give up some survivability for some more dps. The damage wasn't that bad

Nice one! Have you been using a Golemblood potion just before entering combat? That adds a very large dps gain and lets you use another later in the fight.

Using full dps gear should be fine if it has high mastery on and a decent amount of health (boosted by a stam flask). I've got a video of me killing him with just the base 8 mastery in stam stacked DPS gear :)

Nop :( Kept using an Adventurer's Journal every hour after that 13% wipe but never got the 15% damage to Giants buff. Might give it another shot, but I still have that wipe somewhere on my harddrive which I'll upload if not.

Edit: Btw I need more ideas for homemade hardmodes! I got none left >_<

Hmm, well Anub took 5:30mins in DPS gear, which means at the very least I'd get 4-5 adds. If I managed to reset the stacks every 45secs with glyphed AMS (which probably wouldn't be possible), that's 38 secs with one stack every ~2secs per add. Maximum of 19 stacks per add, which is 9.5k damage every 2 secs. 76 stacks when 4 adds are up = 38k damage every 2secs. I don't think I could survive that even after resistances and cooldowns :p

Archavon might be possible though, maybe even with a Koralon trash mob instead.

Working on a proof of concept for a hardmode for ya Aelo. Wrath HC though so don't be dissapointed. :p

I done the proof of concept video and didn't like it, so I done an execution video on my 85 DK to show you the hardmode.

More info in the video description.
