I disagree. We have to work to keep our pet up, often more-so than ourselves. The more DPS we do, the more our pet gets healed. 2% every 90 seconds from the meta does nothing for our pet and does negligible healing (at a random proc time) to the hunter.

Plus, there are enrage timers to be thinking about.

Finally finished recording/rendering/uploading videos of all my Naxx kills, as I wanted "proof" on my Youtube that I had soloed them.

Most of these were done in DPS gear to see how fast I could kill them, which has 0 mastery rating (only the 8 base mastery). There's a few fights where I had to use a mastery elixir/food/trinket, and I used normal soloing gear on Maexxna / Four Horsemen. No Adventurer's Journal buffs, and only Runescroll rank 1.

Nah they don't stack, but I think I could survive without the healing buff.

I soloed the last boss in that video It's the fourth one I couldn't do, which I think was due to heavy melee damage + adds + crushing blows.
