EU+US 39 Gearing Guide for BG's and World PvP

With the current revival occurring in the 39 bracket, I figured it was time to provide an updated Gearing guide for anyone interested in getting involved. Please withstand your urge to anonymously post toxic messages as I am doing this with the intent of building the community.

With iLvl being the most important thing in BG's now, I personally enjoy having a BiS ilvl set along with a BiS world PvP set. This guide will list both sets with what is best in slot for ilvl based on gear type and what is best in slot by class to my knowledge. BiS enchants will be listed at the end. Please comment with any corrections and or upgrades I can add to the list and I will get on it ASAP.

*This is not including the 50-52 ilvl boe epics that are few and far between.

Cloth iLvl:

Head: Master Engineer's Goggles (ilvl 58)
Neck: Problem Solving Pendant (ilvl 80)
Shoulders: Any dungeon shoulders with the stat priority you are going for. (ilvl 45)
Back: Cloak of Coordination (ilvl 60)
Chest: BG Strongbox (ilvl 47)
Wrist: BG Strongbox (ilvl 47)
Hands: Any dungeon gloves with the stat priority you are going for. (ilvl 45)
Waist: Any dungeon belt with the stat priority you are going for. (ilvl 45)
Legs: BG Strongbox (ilvl 47)
Feet: BG Strongbox (ilvl 47)
Rings: The Rock (ilvl 60)
Trinkets: Hook of the Master Angler (ilvl 65), Arena Grand Master (ilvl 55), Major Recombobulator (ilvl 55)
Weapon: Necromantic Wand from Scholomance (ilvl 45). Wands provide 5% extra stats, making them BiS. (enchant w/ Black Magic)
Off-Hand: [A Few Links of Chain] (100 ilvl) can be equipped in Off-hand with a wand and does increase stats. If you cannot obtain this, Stratholme Lily is second best. (ilvl 70)

Cloth wPvP:

Head: Green Lens of [Intellect/Sorcery/etc.] based on your stat priority OR dungeon helm.
Neck: Heirloom neck for stats + heal (If you don't care for the heal, you can get a dungeon neck with alternate stats)
Shoulders: Heirloom Shoulders w/ Greater Crane Wing Inscription
Back: Any dungeon cloak with the stat priority you are going for.
Chest: BG Strongbox
Wrist: BG Strongbox
Hands: Any dungeon gloves with the stat priority you are going for.
Waist: Either a green BOE belt of Intellect (+14 intellect) or a​

ny dungeon belt with the stat priority you are going for.

Legs: Heirloom Legs w/ Greater Pearlescent Spellthread

Ring 2: Really up to preference. Choose between Underworld Band or a dungeon ring.

Head: Any headpiece sold by Griftah (ilvl 100, rogue only) or any dungeon helm (ilvl 45)

The full fang set is an option here as far as chest, gloves, belt, legs, and boots go for both boomkin and resto. It has a set bonus of +20 intel and +5 haste which is solid.

Neck: Heirloom neck for stats + heal (If you don't care for the heal, you can get a dungeon neck with alternate stats)

I forgot to mention, those boots with ilvl 49 are not obtainable, GF'd.

They now scale with the current lvl of a toon.

Aren't those AP enchants grandfathered now? Or can some people still make the enchant?

Looks good! Always good to see gearing guides for more brackets. Here's a few notes from my limited 39 knowledge.

For ipvp, holy pallies want the shield over the lily. An offhand doesn't provide any armor in the template, while a shield does.

For druids in ipvp, I'm not sure what is BiS. They don't use weapon damage, but rather their form determines their damage. So a higher ilvl 1h + offhand may be more damage than a lower ilvl staff/pole arm.

Caster versions (those with only int) of weapons have a different template than regular versions and have less damage. So the blade of eternal darkness is probably not BiS for ipvp sub/assa rogues.

There's also some BoE epics that are going to come into play for BiS. Very hard to farm at the right level though. Weapons drop requiring level 38 and have ilvl 51. Armor drops at level 37 and have ilvl 50.

A few alternative items for pve offhands is the http://www.wowhead.com/item=6341/eerie-stable-lantern which has the same stats.
Mainly because some of the blue bg crate items are so hard to get, and grabbing one for specific secondary stats is really tough unless one is lucky

I personally use vers over all other stats as far as the "gift of ..." enchants go. The damage increase as well as incoming dmg reduction is just so strong. But again this is all preference as I'm sure a solid destro lock who manages his fear dr well would benefit from stacking crit for some heavy chaos bolts. Same with haste for heals who feel the vers decrease is worth the trade off.

I'll do the numbers on the stat tradeoff between these and the bg set and update it in the guide. Should be and upgrade though!

You would think so, but we have tested and can be held in offhand with a wand and gives the 100ilvl

Instanced pvp, the wand is going to be better. The template for wands gives like ~6% extra stats. For wpvp, you can see that the dagger is listed as BiS.

should be updated for the epic drop changes. for exampl3 BIS for leather belts is now sash of mercy etc

and for clothies rob3 of insight BIS now, though I have only come across one in the 3039 bracket
