Hello everyone :LFHCat:
This is my
F2P Shaman. It's known by many as the best geared F2P character.
Mostly here to establish dominance, I'm gonna change boot enchant to
Minor Speed next time I do some profession swapping. I'm still farming Legion epic rings with socket and shield with socket / speed, anything other than that I should change?
I only care about BGs with the bois so no Skirmish or Wargame builds
I go out of town for a few days, and
that's when a resto shaman appears in the thread.
This thread wasn't intended to necessarily have ratings, but what the heck, ratings are fun, so let's go. With the impactful adjustments you made in the armory after I checked again tonight, I'd say absolutely a solid 9.4 out of 10 in the context for which you play (F2P and random BGs only). In true twink irony, it's harder to gear for random BGs vs. more competitive play thanks to tertiary stats, but that's twink life. If you were going for an arena or wargame build, this armory would earn a 9.8 from me (and that assumes you replace your head and neck with currently available gear accepted in wargames). But let's be real for a moment -- the grandfathered gear on this toon from the head, neck, and ilvl 28 items earns roughly an extra 10 int, 19 stam, and 33 secondary stats (equivalent to 17 mastery) over what's currently possible in those slots for a F2P. From a stats perspective, that puts Céle at a 10.5 on a 10 scale.
There is so much right with this build (and all the more impressive for a pure F2P) that it's easy to go straight to the nitpicks, but let's take a moment to recognize the peaks. The grandfathered head and neck of course get the attention, but as
@ohti said, the cloak is a real standout here, especially for a F2P. While the Peerless gear can feel heartbreaking for a resto shaman, a total of 5 crit between two peerless pieces is so marginal, that the 7 crit on your (arguably tied for BiS) Wyrmscale Greaves laugh at the idea. The insignia and Ghost Iron Dragonling may not bring swag factor, but they save lives, and that's what an rsham does.
With that declared, let's tour the nitpicks. Sockets and tert stats in the places they can and may eventually appear,
Aguas' Band of Augury in place of the vers ring, and a +3 int bracers enchant in place of the +2 int bracers enchant (but maybe that's the armory not showing your bracers enchant correctly). The ring change will increase your damage taken by 2% (and reduce your dps by the same amount), but boost your healing by 3-5%. In arenas and wargames you wouldn't get as much of a chance to leverage mastery on low-health opponents, but in random BGs, saving people from the brink of death is just another moment in the gulch.
Wowhead says Siren's has a level 45 requirement. Is that true?
