if i had horde gear on my shaman, i would have gotten the hit bracers, just because having extra hit gear allows you more flexibility if they implement a new item that is BIS in a slot that you previously used for hit it's good to have options

you can also go with crit bracers and lavish ring, but it's a personal pref thing. (you basically choose 3 crit over 5 stam 1 int)

Depending on your class 20% haste might mean you get an extra dot tick from your spells, meaning that if you had only 19% haste your dots would not get an extra tick and you'd only benefit from the casting speed. I am not sure if there is any thread about this which examines the effect of haste...

go with wild rider's gloves don't use satchel cape. use spidersilk. and get lavishly jeweled ring instead of warsong ring, and use stillwater's signet instead of argas. get the crit bracers instead of the hit bracers, and use merger boots.

lol uh, of course spellpower affects the damage of shocks and TS, i was clearly talking about the utility of the spells. IMO ele shaman has the most utility without BOAs because your main job is to purge/shear/shock/TS, and the damage of shock and TS is negligible compared to the other players...

imo ele sham is the best class with non boa gear, because you don't need spell power to shock/shear/purge/thunderstorm. also, a lot of non-boa gear has a ton of stam so you'll have decent HP. if you're really missing the spell power, then get sp enchants on bracer/gloves instead of haste...
