Haste Gear / Scroll of Stamina

I saw someone say haste isn't worth it unless you get ~20%. How would you achieve this? 10 Haste to gloves, haste belt, and working on a gear build to use the boa cloak which has haste as well instead of Spidersilk . What else could I use?

Also, I've noticed people using Elixir of Minor Fortitude. Which gives 27 HP, though Scroll of Stamina gives 3 stamina, while Scroll of Stamina II gives 5 stamina. They do stack with Rumsey and count as guardian elixir so you can still use a battle elixir too if you wish. Any reason other than availability for people to use the Elixir instead?

You could put 20 haste on your weapon, but i dont think it would be to viable since you'll lose a lot of spell power.

I'm pretty sure it does stack with fort. Once the servers are back, I can test it out.

confirmed to work. can also be bought from some vendors, like the librarian in the building next to the inscription building in SW. I'm sure a lot of you don't need to be told this, but it seems to be something that's overlooked. As for the haste gear, thanks, the BOA trinket is the one piece I didn't think of. We'll see how it goes, but I think crit is probably still better.

Depending on your class 20% haste might mean you get an extra dot tick from your spells, meaning that if you had only 19% haste your dots would not get an extra tick and you'd only benefit from the casting speed. I am not sure if there is any thread about this which examines the effect of haste on dots such as explosive shot, warlock dots, shadow word pain, etc. I am also not even sure if haste effects explosive shot in this way, my main is not a survival hunter and I need confirmation on whether or not haste effects hunter dots in this way.

I can answer this question easily. The reason is because it takes less materials to make the fort pots, than it does to make the 3 stam scrolls. The 5 stam scrolls are clearly the best but you have to mill 5 bruiseweed (or herbs that are way more expensive) to make them and you are better off making Elixir of Minor Accuracy with that bruiseweed because 10 hit is a huge amount for every dual wielding melee class. At the cost of 5 accuracy pots, you are making 1 stamina scroll, which is only slightly better than a fort pot which costs you 1 peacebloom and 2 earthroot.

Is this discussion about a specific class? Staffs unfortunately can't use the iron counterweight so there's technically not any loss of spellpower there. The lower the level, the more haste you can get. Level 15 can have the most haste due to BOA scaling. But this is all common knowledge isn't it?

A while back I crunched some numbers for the BOA mail chest (Champion's) for each level in the bracket to see what the best level is for secondary stats vs primary stats and then against item availability for that level. Haste will always be the most at level 15 but there are some interesting tradeoffs with crit and primary stats at each level. For instance the BOA mail chest @ level 17 is better than @ 16 and @ 18 due to scaling (it "scales" up @ 17) but you would lose out on the WSG items (some you can obviously live w/o but others are generally considered BiS). I believe that @ 18 the BOA chest tends to be at its worst, since the BOA "scales" up again @ 19 and gives the worst overall benefit to all stats compared to 15,16,17 & 19 respectively.

I did most of this thru the lens of my first hunter (yep first). I personally wanted to stack haste just to see what would happen. Here he is Gastonne @ Rexxar - Game - World of Warcraft.

Yes this is for a priest. Thanks meging for the info on the dots, that's the kind of info I was looking for. %20 looks impossible with out severely gimping other stats which I won't do. However an extra SW:p tick isn't that important IMO. And yeah I figured the scrolls were harder to make, but they can be found on AH sometimes for pretty cheap, I check frequently for them. Plus the vendor who sells limited number of them. (might only be 1 of the 5 stam and 3 of the 3 stam)

if you happen to be making a gazzilion rogue decks like i am, (for farming darkmoon rep) then the "scrap" ink is wht makes scroll II, therefore you aren't wasting herbs you are using your leftovers efficiently.

too bad you can't use mulitple scrolls like you used to be able to....
