Rules should be made 1 month before torny becuse we don't know what changes can be made to classes inbetween now and then.

This pretty much sums it up. Any attempt to make (or influence the making of) rules right now is simply a waste of key strokes.

Regarding the person/character limit I would like to respectfully asked that it be amended somewhat as well. Here's my reasoning, broken down between person limit and character per person limit:

Person limit: It's pretty obvious you're limiting this to 13 to encourage more teams rather than teams being larger and having fewer teams. While I see your logic here, I don't think having a larger team limit (mildly larger that is) will cause fewer teams. For example, I don't think too many MYT players that aren't on the official squad due to size limit will seek out another team - they'd certainly be welcome to, I just doubt it will happen. However; that isn't the real reason I ask for the 13 person limit to be adjusted. The primary reason is that it's going to result in people having less than 10 players come game time. Consider my team - we are primarily old school players - many of us twinked since BG's began (where you played just your own server). That was 2005 - 10 years ago. So we're older and have jobs, some of my team have families, etc. We simply can't expect everyone to be there every game. Yes some of us will set that entire weekend aside but others won't have that luxury. We will have less than 10 people out of 13 on at some times that weekend due to events outside our control. I'd like to respectfully ask that you lift this to 15, a very modest increase.

Character per toon: I'd also like to ask that you lift this moderately as well. Let's build on my point - stated earlier - that some people will miss sometimes. Under current rules we'd be forced to have an extra FC, an extra BM and/or War and likely extra healer as our 11-13. So if we're missing 3 people and both guardians are there, we're running two guardians. Etc. In the NFL they allow some creativity here - not just larger roster for gametime but also an "emergency" backup for a key position such as QB and/or kicker/punter in case the starters go down, which is outside the rules. I'd like to respectfully ask that you allow 5 players to use a second toon and that you allow an "emergency" 6th toon to have an FC in case your FC class is missing (presume this will be guardian, but we don't know that until closer to tourney as the game evolves).

Respectfully,
Nasti

people have to do things and if a team gets on to play and someones not there having more subs will mean they dont need to forefiet or stall for someone and games will have minimal delay.

there should be a 15 person or more limit here but all alts must be "registered" by submitting their armory under the person they will be played by just so things are a bit more organized for shoutcasters if we happen to have them. the teams should be able to change classes/people from their pool of 15 at will for a designated ammount of time after a match (thinking 5 mins to talk it over and make subs) before the next one.

i thinsthe team who lost the match should decide on the next map EotS or AB or WSG so theres some diffrent stuff going on (not many teams will pick AB or EotS for all you WSG purists)

I partially agree with Nasti here. The 13 player limit, along with limiting players to specific toons/specs is too much. That made choosing teammates and such harder than it needed to be during the Twink Cup last year. It also limited the ability for teams to make adjustments between games.

The Twink Cup should be handled like the recent RBG tournament: only limit the number of players per team. There should be a 15 player limit per team. Each player should be allowed to switch between their classes/specs as they so choose, as long as the team continues to follow the 2 class limit, ect while in games.

This.

End point:

I don't see why ferals or two warriors would even be thought to be allowed in a tourny when you can't avoid a one shot or avoid being overwhelmed by two warriors. (Which is not healable). I know people will say as a example "ohhh if they are running two warriors why isn't the other team in going defense to counter". In the end sooner or later doesn't matter how much you run, theres a point where a fc will get to a point where he is slowed by battle fatige and the warriors would come tearing in wrecking up the joint and killing the efc, its inevitable.

^ broken melee stack comp teams(which is only warrs but i guess ferals might be too depending on the players n circumstance) pretty much will shit on competitivity

the funds shall go to the team with the best RNG on their rend ticks!

unlimited subs after a game within a time limit or only a set number of changes? (asuming 15 players and unlimited alts)

I agree that the character limit should be raised to 15 per team, but in turn I still believe that they should be static spots, specific to characters only, not people. There are many people that have every class in the game and being able to switch up your comp completely, as many times as you want would just be dumb.

why would it be dumb if you want to make a change after a game? i dont think the whole team should be swapped out, maybe a limit of changes or somthing to limit the time between games.

also 15 toons would be less than the 16 that would be had under the current rules.

My point is that they should be able to switch there comp with only the classes they have on their current roster, static to the people that are signed up to play that class. Nothing more.

yeah so then give it a limit of 2 or whatever toons per person. you sign up saying i am going to play this and this with the names of the toons

I agree with this statement 100%

Why would that be dumb? I agree about class/spec restrictions for the teams, but if your roster has people who have and can play multiple classes, it's an asset teams should certainly be able to take advantage of.

I can't think of any good reason why a team, as long as it's sticking to it's listed roster players and is adhering to whatever class/spec restrictions exist, couldn't play with completely different classes from game to game.

Hey looking for any team needing people! I play disc priest and holy pally! Both named glöry. Ally side

Last i looked Rbgs /arenas didn't have restriction other than pots , engineering and certain items . team restrictions with comps or how many doesn't play a part. Teams make adjustments as the go along.

Hush honey badger. You'll generate hate for upsetting the status quo by not forcing everyone to middle fight all games by not having a rule set that makes that the only viable option.

It's like darkchewie said - we were all morons for just deciding to overcome differences I nstead of forcing everyone to play cookie cutter and mid fight all game. What idiots we were!

How is you allowing magic dust related to me "forcing" everyone to use cookie-cutter comps to fight in mid, which is complete bs anyways. The only things I advocated for in this thread are BMs to 1 (which promotes a non cookie cutter comp) and banning ferals (which as much as you don't want to believe, actually doesn't further promote mid-fighting. it prevents cheese comps).

Your logic is seriously flawed.

I was just exaggerating the point like you did. No need to get them in a knot.
