hopefully its a oversight/bug. you cant do any locking on 120 on live at the npc
 


tldw: looks like lvl 50 has 20% damage done/reduction aura against level 60 due to scaling?


Ps: alliance 50 community had to be deleted, will remake when my mage goes back to alliance after this week.

a covenant is like an order hall. There will be 4. Joining a covenant gives 1 movement focused spell, and one combat focus spell. You can obtain conduits(relics) that have traits based on spec abilities, or your conduit active ability. You link with a story NPC to gain access to an upgrade talent tree called Soulbinds.


For players who like to play more than one character—once you’ve reached maximum level with one character and chosen a Covenant for them, you’ll be able to immediately choose a Covenant for any additional characters who reach Shadowlands.

This will get you your 2 base convenant ability at level 50.

Covenant Callings

Once you have joined your Covenant and started your Sanctum, you will begin to receive Covenant Callings. These are specific world-level quests that call upon you to perform great deeds for your Covenant, with high rewards for success. You will receive three Covenant Callings at a time, and like World Quests, these have specific durations and rewards. These can only be picked up inside your Sanctum, not out in the world.

Covenant Callings are scaled to begin at level 50, so alts who join Covenants from the start can also begin Covenant Callings. Callings will reward Renown, a currency that upgrades
  • deepen connections with Soulbinds
  • raise maximum potential of the features within your Sanctum
  • increase item levels of items acquired from World Quests
  • unlock a wide variety of features, including rewards, quests, followers, cosmetics, etc.
  • give access to recipes, including Legendary Runeforging recipes for the Runecrafter in Torghast
  • allow you to acquire Covenant-specific items such as mounts, pets, a title, back attachment transmogs, and transmog armor

    obviously most of this is unimportant to a level 50


Unless you can complete stage 3 of the covenant campaigns at 50, you probably won’t be able to upgrade with any conduits(covenant relics). Link below shows sources for conduits.

Tldr: hit 60 on a character first to unlock covenant (and covenant callings world quests) for your level 50s. Leave questing on 50s for after this.
Then account transfer probably, unless you are trying to go for max renown level on 50.

if you still want to farm conquest caps to get 460(115) ilvl PvP trinkets, the recent pvp blog post https://www.wowhead.com/news=318091...owlands-pre-patch-blog-end-of-pvp-season-soon states that conquest rewards can still be earned in the prepatch. after they posted it, the ptr update had conquest bar enabled again, so theres some extra time to casually farm conquest caps to get maledict/badge/insignia("battlemaster") trinkets at 460(115ilvl) without needing to do rated pvp on alts/undergeared toons or whatever


I recommend getting these 3 trinkets if you decide to go for Conquest Cap 13, 17, and 22, in that order

im personally gonna get a 115ilvl badge for my MM hunter, full BoA token gear, no cape. starting today, 13 conquest caps shouldnt be a big grind, i need to buy rank 4 Essence of the focusing iris, Spark of Inspiration, and Memory of Lucid Dreams anyways, prob get r4 crucible of flame via content

no idea if you can still cap the conquest bar after prepatch.

the heart of darkness azerite trait from nyalotha gear will be always active once corruption is removed, its pretty good so if you're buying your last few azerite caches in these last weeks of bfa, consider buying only for the slot that doesn't drop off the last 2 bosses in the raid.

  • Season 4 PvP rewards such as elite corrupted gladiator set+cape+tabard, character specific unlock titles, dreadflame enchant(dreadflame is account wide on ptr but it’s not intended to be acct wide, only per character unlocked)
  • Ahead of the Curve and CuttingEdge Ny'alotha achievements
  • Rank 4 vision of perfection essence (cosmetic)
Pvp activity should be very high, for those stuck with subs on their vet accounts itching for some pvp. Wows pvp scaling system will be bumped to 60, so there will be MUCH less scaling between 50s of differing gear levels than there is currently.

next week my mage will be back alliance to remake alliance 50’s chat, still haven’t seen any other community for it. if anyone is in one with more than 10 twinks already let me know so We can just join that one.


I hope SL comes out soon and all the current 110s that play daily show up in their new number and gear for some slaying! Probably the last I’ll bump this thread.

Gladiator’s Medallion, Adaptation, and Relentless have been removed from Honor Talents. The functionality of removing control-impairing effects will be restored as a powerful PvP trinket option that can be purchased with Honor from Aneka Melae in Orgrimmar and Alice Fischer in Stormwind.

^this might confirm the 175ilvl trinkets from the vendor(medallion, relentless, adaptation) to be final!!!! Mythic ilvl is 130-140, these will be awesome if they are staying 175ilvl
