XP turned back on - Veteran Account

Just logged my unsubbed 19 on US. Looks like XP got turned back on. Couldn´t test and kill something to see if it really gives XP because my wow keeps crashing.
I didnt do anything else than login the toon. So you don´t need to queue for a BG first to get it unlocked.
Take care of your twinks if you don´t want to level up .

I have 2 things to say about this. 1) Blizzard made it clear that there would be no differences between the two account types aside from Vet accounts being able to join their guilds. The fact that they stated that they'd even have the same gold cap etc made it pretty much 99% that these accounts wouldn't be able to turn off exp.

2) if they did allow this, this would be extremely unfair to other twink brackets where we have the option to not pay for WoW any more and continue to play our twinks as is.

Makes me wonder if xp is turned back automaticly off after subbing again on a veteran account with this. 1 xp left is not something you want to walk around with towards the experience eliminator.

Why dont you add gametime or if u have 10g just lock your exp :/ and see if it works

From what I had understood from the 19 f2p twink project, you can lock exp but if you entered an instance/bg it would unlock it automatically. So, is it safe to assume that you could always lock your exp and chill in Goldshire (cuz thats so much fun)?

That's true, but his point was that the hopefulness stemmed from Blizzard tending not to consider everything, which you didn't address.

Been addressed multiple times by multiple people. Blizzard missed it in July 2011 and hot fixed it in October 2011. If it slipped through this patch it wouldn't have likely lasted very long. They stated same restrictions except for guilds. People want to grasp at straws and read between the lines for something they are hoping for and ignore past history and clear intention.

I'm sure you can think of activities that won't give exp. Don't ignore that you have full access to your twinks unsubbed.

Same restrictions:
- and still I have access to all my gold >10
- I have access to >100 profs

Thats the point. That they state something that turns out to be not as restrictive as one could have thought. No one was ignoring the past or intention. We all knew that they possibly turn xp back on. But the chance that they dont do it was there. And that chance we had wont change just because you think that things that happened in the past are 100% evidence that it will be like this today.
