If you take a look at the start I was simply tried premoting this. I loved the idea of competitive pugs and I had tried helping Izac through PMs and on misha and even on a few threads to make sure this actually happened. Then I saw a few nay sayers putting it down saying it wouldn't work and wouldn't premote any competition just to follow that up by seeing those same nay sayers in 3 different 10 person premades facing my pug (and quite a few 5 person premades facing pugs I was in also) so I made a statement about it

I'm sorry but I find it amusing how a realm that's talked about wanting competitive games has refused to join something that had the option of bringing competitiveness. I could easily say something about the general atmosphere and attitude of the people in bwl but I have not said anything once about them however I have gotten:

You know I respect your opinion kin and I will read and follow up to any of your posts with my own opinion or what I think about it in a mature way but with the replies I have gotten on here and the general replies I do get from the same people over and over I couldn't care less if you feel I'm in the wrong here. Saying I'm in the wrong yet all I've done is question a realms competitiveness yet I've been called a bitch, cunt, baby, delusional isn't one of your opinions I will respect. You were defending Izac because you're good friends with him, you like competitive PVP, and you helped make the idea. You got overzealous about it, and pissed a bunch of people off. Best thing would've been to stop in your tracks and admit you were being too presumptuous about people's reasons for not joining this tournament (which has a large number of flaws). No need to backpedal. We all know what happens to hunters who backpedal. A large reason for the idea that you're delusional, from my understanding, is you don't seem like you realize when you're wrong in these situations.

And thank you for your help Lil. I expected this to start slow. Actually gotten more sign ups than I thought we would. Would like for you to stay in it a little longer if you would, I really kinda need you. Planning on setting up a few games and getting the rankings post set up afterwards when Im back. Maybe when people see the rankings theyll be like "I want dat number one spot" and start signing up

Either way we'll probably do at least two seasons of this before we decide whether or not to continue

A lot of people misunderstand how or why something like this would be fun/ competitive. Once you pug for long enough you realize that the bracket, while it contains un-skilled players, isn't the most boring and easy thing to succeed at. Whenever many people lose they will blame their own team, thinking they are unable to control the circumstances. While that may be true for some cases, it's not always true. A really good reference to show that this "pug-made" idea is not a lottery or ludicrous is to think of it as Texas Hold'em. You are dealt a hand, and so is everyone else at the table, that part is indeed luck. However just because you get a "bad" hand, doesnt mean you will lose. You can use your skill and knowledge of what other players will do (fold/over bet) to still win the pot. Of course this works vice versa. Once you become experienced in what other players will do, you can actually "control" a bg much easier, you base your own actions upon what you predict your team will do Vs. what the enemy team will do. You do all these small things with no communication between your teammates. As you get better and better at this, just like how a good poker player, you can eventually dominate a lot more situations because you know what your enemies will do rather than play only the cards you have(the members of your team).
