EU So i bought this shield on AH. Wtf?

A couple of things:

1.) Why is the life steal so much higher on the first pic than the trade pic?
2.) If it is legit, it's probably a world drop. I really doubt someone had characters with declining levels by 10 tagging a mob. Not saying that doesn't work it just seems more likely someone got it while leveling and its a super super fucking rare world drop. Wowhead only shows drop sources from people that are running the wowhead addon so it's entirely possible it's just never shown up. It doesn't seem locked as an "instance only" drop (ie drops from the silithus zone). They probably messed it up when they launched BfA and it drops from all zones now. Wouldn't be the first time lol.
 
I find it a bit sketch that 2 threads about epic BoE's that are scaled down are made a day after another when before yesterday no1 even had a single clue that this was possible

Prob just because effect is viewed from a high level. This is the case with most items. Effect is obviously scaled down for a low level toon

Ye, but those tankard off hands are "broken" unlike these epics and are just missing a lvl requirement I assume. But these 2 threads with 4 different epic BoE's (that no1 had any clue of ever being possible until now) popping up a day after each other is a bit 2 much coincedence, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah I'm inclined to believe some super rare one off was an error or a careless GM or something.

But this doesn't pass the smell test all off a sudden

If i remember it correctly, they were scaling 54-x according to your level even before world scaling. People were making DK twinks just for farming these guys and made nice money on transmogs.

Wowhead is incorrect, it's a Classic WoW World Epic drop. It has the chance to drop from literally ANY Mob of the appropriate Level range. So one would farm the correct Level range with the correct number of 9 Level different Toons to downscale the item (if it ever dropped) to w/e Level Twink you chose.

EDIT: since alot of people are asking me how i got them to scale this low: I have a toon in lvl 1 (a bank) this dude had these items supposedly 54 and 60. I was away for 2 months from wow. Before i quit the game i forgot i had these items in my mail (from cancelled auctions). When i asked a gm to recover some of the items this is what i got. "

Is it clear?

Whelp, so much for them scaling down in Game. The sad part is we already know that scaling up AND down is 100% possible and working (just not enabled) because of the Pre-Legion Event. All Blizz has to do is enable it Game wide and it opens up the Game for Players to play it however they want to. Imagine Questing on your Twinks in ANY Zone (1 XPac old and earlier) and having all the Loot/Quest rewards scale to your Level. Unfortunately, the anti-Fun Police is strong with Acti-Blizz and I doubt that'll ever happen outside of Events.

First build of level scaling pvp was mad fun. Snowflakes had to ruin it all.

Tooltips often scale to viewers so if a priest views the evicerate ability it says like 9 damage and a rogue would see a measly damage for anything scaling by spell power instead of attack power.
