your verdict on 5.2

I cannot say I have too many complaints... I feel like my opponents go down faster than before, and my own healing is up a notable amount.

Regarding the bugs with boas, one would think they should have been noticed, especially with all the NEW boa they put in (and were supposed to put into) this patch...

The few games that I have played seemed to be a little closer score wise. Now if we could only do something about the player's attitudes.

Heals got a decent buff plus dps is really nice. Priests and druids are definitely stronger now but as long as you have a shaman who knows what they are doing; dps should easily tear them up. I like the idea of this bracket being a bit burstier, now healers may actually oom.

Other than all the stat bugs, I have high hopes for 5.2 and the addition of skrimishes coming back in the near future.
 
I have already noticed a stiff drop in the amount of 'true' 24s. And the ones I have encountered are alot easier to kill. I'm enjoying the fact that warriors are respectable now. It just kinda cool to get smacked around a bit by a warrior than to shrug them off like I used too. Also, shaman is SUPER fun right now with the purging and lightning bolt actually hitting for decent damage. The missing is annoying right now but they will fix that. I cant wait for secondary stats get fixed :D Overall, very nice patch.

Fcing on my druid is actually more challenging than it was before, a little confusing since the overall consensus is they've been buffed but I'll take it. Nice to see more warrs and less 24s running around, but it would be nice to see mages/locks get some love too.
 
Once they get the hit bugs worked out, I think 5.2 will be a success.
More classes and specs are viable now.
 
I love it. I don't have much problem with healers and I can pick out from the bad ones and the good ones by if I can kill them or not.

dps all seem good and there isnt a class that can be overlooked like before (wars)

24s have gone wayy down due their skill level finally being revealed for the bads they were.


Overally honestly I'd say only problems would be 24 priests. I think 20s are pretty balanced and once scaling gets fixed this might be a pretty fun bracket

Yes, currently your secondary stats are being treated as though your lvl 24, that will change and they will be treated as though your lvl 20, the way it should be, as your only allowed to wear lvl 20 gear. From a common sense perspective, it is completely unfair that we are only allowed to wear lvl 20 gear, yet it be treated as though we are lvl 24. This was never intended and they are fixing it.

This issue is mild for us compared to some other brackets where players' crit is affected more so than us, although some of us are losing upwards of 5% crit due to the current and incorrect scaling.

Ghostcrawler is quite clear on this.
 
I think it's more the case that the higher levels of a bracket have gear that thoroughly outclasses that at lower levels, the best example being the 80-84 bracket, which has major power creep in it from gear stat inflation. If Bliz are looking at that case (and they are probably looking closer at it than 20-24, because it's still pretty high level content), then they should be covering haste, dodge, block and parry scaling , as well as crit and hit, because secondary stats are far more common on high level gear.
 
Any one who leveled their 80 to 85 right when Cata went live can attest to stat inflation and stat rating decay. By the time we hit 84 we had 3x the stats as we had at 80 yet we were woefully underpowered. I quit the game halfway through 4.1 and didn't come back until 4.3. By then it was relatively easy to gear up, but those first couple months of Cata were pretty brutal.

I'm just surprised that the devs were caught off guard, though I suppose I shouldn't be. What they need to do is scale our base stats up to the top of the bracket, but keep secondary stats percentage gains at the same level as the character. If that makes any sense lol. It's hard to put into words.

I suspect that this will be easier said than done.

Seriously stop bashing WoW. Almost EVERY post you make has something to do with "WoW sucks". Get over it. WoW> any other MMO. I'd like to see you point out another game with over 10 millition subs.
