Yeah for some reason I don’t have any interest in doing that. Twinking is a bit of a nostalgic experience for me, I still have my original 19 hunter twink from BC/Wrath. The simplicity of lower level and less abilities and idea of running myself for gear is what sounds fun. If I wanted to pvp with a 70 I’d just do normal BGs.

I understand what you're saying. I mean moreso 70's pvp gearing is the easiest it's been in a long, long time. And 70's syncing down get a template, but keep their higher level talents. Combine easy gearing, premade party syncing, talent advantage, quick queues, and it's worlds better than trying to get a 20-29 xp off game. And the cherry on top is this is all Blizzard approved.

How bad are queues currently in the 20-29 xp off bracket?

Queue times were around 30 minutes. And games were mostly lopsided (one side having half the amount of players for 70% of the game, one side being outgeared, the side taking the beating would suffer afk after afk).

Haha I’m starting to think I should just go twink in wrath classic. But I’m a solo player. And work graves so retail seemed intriguing because I can mainly do everything myself. I really don’t want to get an 80 and do heroics in wrath classic just to get heirloom gear because it seems like BiS for wrath twinking is heirloom stuff now. Are queues really that bad for 20-29?

It definitely helps to have alternate interests than just PvP so far as 20-29 is right now.

Currently there's some shadowlands gems that give you health regen and speed bonus when equipped in ilvl 87 and higher gear (epic at least, blues are ilv 86 at 29), so for me personally its currently amusing running around at high speed and soloing PvE content with my 29s, which was not quite easy before the recent changes.... but having another interest is always best in case your preferred mode of play gets blizzified.

To be fair, it was socketed Circle of Flame on runs 13, 55, and 82 for my level 60 (of course). Run 114 for my level 29.

My scrubby rush-lock was able to solo it rather quickly so I didnt have to lose any to the 60. Just seems like so much for such an easy grind, that damn helm is cursed. Glances paper warrior's took even longer from the sound of it.

If it's possible to solo the boss on your 20, isn't that a way to guarantee the loot to your 20 every boss if the 60 leaves the instance/logs out? I remember we would do that for legacy runs last xpac

My level 11 arcane mage went into Shadowmoon Burial Grounds and has been soloing it. She has gotten 4 warforged pieces so far, all for slots that already have warforged in them. I'm not sure what kind of gear would be necessary for some other class/spec, her ilvl is 50 with level 10 BC socketed dungeon gear for slots that have not been replaced.

Sometimes the trash is harder than the bosses.

Tried to get this one at least with tertiary last week - no luck, will be trying inbetween some WoD runs, socket proc would be big for sure

Also the second boss(s) drop a rifle that you'll probably get upgraded before the trinket, lol.

I'm 99% sure the trinkets in Iron Docks cannot proc upgrades other than warforge.

Interesting, bfa tirnkets/weapons/armour can all roll socket. Maybe older xpacs are following bfa rules?

My advise to you, If I may. I just did a new ftp 20 hunter because I was very curious with the littlest effort I can made which are the best gear I can get and from where.

1 - start BfA campaign (rush for Triragarde Sound) do the main questline, and you get 3 blue items (helm, chest, and shoulderpiece), you can also do Drustvar if you want (one of the best zone in the whole game period) you spent 1 hr, 1,5 hr

2 - go for the 4 BfA zone and kill all the rares wich give you weapons, trinkets, rings, boots, belt, legs, bracers, and gloves, every second will proc a gem socket (you can one shot most of them, you spend a good 2 hr if you want every item u can get)

3 - go to Hellfire buy the +1 gems

And you done, you have a deceant twink for starting, and you only spent 4-5 hrs of your life. After this you can go spam some dungeon, farm better gems, get the enchants which still usable (not many). And you don't need anybody, don't need a sub.

+1 and if you want to win in a BG que after 3 am

I went over this 4th socket proc thing again with a friend, whom had also tried to farm out this helm+socket for his rogue.

but he also hadn't had any luck and tried asking around and was informed about someone trying to add a blacksmith belt buckle to a belt with 3x sockets, trying to add the 4th.

but it was supposedly unable to be attached, so what @Warglave said about there being a cap on items having 3x sockets at max might appear to be true.

But how do we know that the bug wasnt generated by the belt buckle itself?

The mass experience would say that it's unlikely 4 sockets can happen just because no one got any yet. I got another 3 socket belt since this question was brought up... and no one anywhere as far as we know has gotten a 4 socket drop.

The buckle thing is washy due to ilvl and level restrictions now, i agree, but you can just try a normal belt to check that.

edit- i really really really want 4 sockets to be a thing, hope otherwise but it seems not so. The whole SL restriction is .

some of this info needs to be taken with a grain of salt ofc, but you also kinda wana go about it with some common sense?

if items with 3x sockets was able to proc a 4th, belt or helm. someone would had most likely already gotten one by now and shared a screenshot of it some where.

Sounds reasonable. I got only tertiary so far, but with my numbers of runs kinda hard to get actionable data.
I thought to farm helmet with metasocket - but someone probably will get it first with my current approach - so we can exclude a possibility that it depends on slot.
