Whoa dudes, tonight was amazing Can we make this every night?

The only consumables that are semi acceptable, are the ones that F2P's can obtain, seeing as they are 3/4 of this bracket's population. Even then I don't find speed potting necessary or acceptable unless the other team is using them as well. But as for their use in premades, they have none. War Games ensure that premading is a consumable free environment. Which IS the true test of skill.

Name any class/spec @29, allow them to use any/every consumable they can VS a BM monk that cant use any consumables. Who can win?

I've played a lot of offense in 29 bgs. I'm pretty sure I've never been more frustrated chasing druid FCs, or any FC in any previous iteration of the game. BM monks aren't quite as bad but nearly impossible to kill with anywhere near competent healers.

I've been speed potting on my priest because it appears that staying in CAST RANGE on an FC is nearly fucking impossible. Maybe this is me failing to adapt, but I'm going to use tools available to me to at least allow me to be in the same zip code as the FC. Sorry if F2P gets salty, but fuck me you're practically outrunning me on my fucking mount for sustained periods of time.

A true skill? Landing an Iron Grenade on a Shaman running in Ghost Wolf from 30 yards to prevent a flag cap. Consumables raise the skill cap. We go from 10 buttons to 20.

or you learn to position properly so u dont have to crutch on consumables.
Or I am postitioning myself properly knowing I have consumables at my disposal. Perhaps I had to give that Shaman a little extra room to land a CS, Poly, Nova, whatever on someone else?

Bottom line: Consumables RAISE the skillcap required to compete.

Yes, they require extra effort outside PvP Battlegrounds (much less if you aren't on a twink server and can just buy everything off the AH). Success is not only about execution, but also preparation.

skill = the power to do something well with the abilities you have. crutch = using something to support you, such as consumables.

have fun crutching on consumables in pugs, but when it comes time for premades (which are in wargames where you cannot use consumables) you're going to get outplayed hard.

Just learn how to adapt to the new meta.

crutch = using the forums to make excuse for why you can't adapt to consumable use

See, I can just right stuff too. (That one is for you Restopathic)

What about people crutching on druids? Or do you feel that it is natural that out of 10 slots in a side of WsG, 5 of those slots should be druids?

I realize I'm talking to the guy who feels that teams CRUTCHING ON BM MONKS is perfectly reasonable...

Worst kind of hypocrites are the hypocrites with a fanbase, right HB?

BMs are game changing and allow you to do things you couldnt do otherwise, and blizzard has them in the game!

Swiftness pots and FAPs are game changing and allow you to do things you couldn't do otherwise, blizzard left them in the game!

(now someone is definitely comparing a class to a consumable)

If we're talking about for premades, then the traditional rules would prevent such a ridiculous event from occuring.

You pulled a strawman fallacy.

You completely misrepresented my argument. I never said that I feel that crutching on BM monks is reasonable. I simply said that its acceptable to allow at least one BM monk on a team rather than removing it entirely from selection.
