Which would be faster?

I already know the benefits of a 110 vs a 111 however what I do not know is which lvl does an island run faster solo and is it really that much of a difference?

I suppose there would be 3 catagories when we should consider average run times:

Average geared 110

Full mythic Ant geared 110

Standard 111 (I say standard cause the gear is crafted so pretty set in ilvl)

do you think the times would be comparable or atleast close enough not to really make a different?

NOTE: This is islands only.
 
From everything I've seen, 110 and 111s will be about the same speed. What 111 loses in scaling, it makes up for with better gems/enchants/tincture. If someone has played both 110 and 111 at similar gear levels, they'd probably have a more accurate opinion though.

BiS for 111 is still mythic antorus. The crafted gear just gives a nice quick (but more expensive gold-wise) initial set of gear, where a fresh 110 is going to be using (upgraded) quest gear while starting out. Depending on class/spec, you should be able to do island expeditions fairly well with just the azerite pieces and key leggos.
 
Full mythic Ant 110 would do it far faster. That's simply because of the fact that mythic ant gear will increase your secondary stats and damage by a lot. Although, I do hope you meant like a full mythic antorus geared 110 who also has azerite pieces and everything because that would be the fastest due to their damage output.
 
I did indeed mean full geared 110 with best of both BFA and legion gear.

By far faster do you mean 3 mins for a fully geared 110 vs 8 mins for a 111 or are the time closer together?

How does this then compare to an average geared 110 vs 111 in crafted gear.

I wonder because my interest at the moment is solely focused on running islands on this particular toon and I’m wondering how much value is added by keeping the toon at 110 and spending ages getting the mythic ant gear (to go with the legendaries and Azeroth gear) vs Azeroth and crafted at 111.

Time is limited and sporadic game time would make mythic any runs difficult for me
 
I Have 110 prot pally pretty much pull the whole island I’m only 247item rocking Legendary legs And class ring And the three 300 pcs They tickle me and well as doing shit ton of dps for a tank I can add 30 item level to him still and 2pc tier. Heart is at 23level so ya I’d rather do this atm then play end game . Just fun

If your only intention is to do Islands with your toon, I’d go 111 demon hunter as mentioned in other posts. However be warned, the eye beam legendary trick has gotten a lot of light lately, and don’t be surprised if it isn’t a thing in a few weeks here.
 
My 110 DH is about on par with my 111 DH. It's very hard to compare if you do not have exact same azerite pieces, which I do not. Having the green absorb shield second ring trait is necessary if you plan on pulling while mounted. If you do not have this shield you will get dismounted far more often than not. For a casual player like me, I'd rather stick to mounted pulls over using consumables every island.

One thing that has not been discussed is how npc's health increases when you level from 110 to 111.

You can use the (slower) heirloom mount and won't get dismounted as you are a passenger.

But it's so slow! I think DH is faster than that thing. Good idea for slow classes like my DK.
 
I have a 110 Frost Dk with some ok Antorus gear and my 300 ilevel azerite pieces that I got from your guide that was amazing and still is amazing! (Thank you by the way!)

My questions are:

1. What is the highest ilevel gear I can get besides azerite pieces in BFA? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere. I can’t seem to get any quest for legion content at all anymore, so I want to progress my gear somehow, and don’t know what to work on to do that.

2. Is there a 110 twink community in game I can join to do mythic antorus? My battle ID is gcheatham#1427. Wow communities are very confusing to understand. There should be a search filter for them. I’d like a community to do Legion content to progress.

3. Does anyone else have a 110 Frost Dk twink? What is your armory id? What stats do you stack? Talents? Azerite pieces? Legendaries? I just want to compare. I can melt almost any BG right now, unless I go up against a whole team of twinks.

I just want to max out as much as possible. Having a lot of fun in dungeons and Bgs with my frost dk. I feel like I’m the only one who has made one though. Everyone seems to make a DH. (I’m brand new to Xpoff so I can’t do links for my armory yet but I will later)

1. I believe Antorus gear can titanforge up to 265 ilvl. Between that, azerite pieces, legion leggos, and the pantheon trinket that you can continue to upgrade until...280 - those are generally the highest ilvl pieces. There are 2 ilvl 300 stam trinkets from archaeology as well, but they tend to be very mediocre.

2. I'm not in any 110 communities, so I can't help much there. My recommendation would be asking around in the discord. I will say that you're unlikely to get into mythic antorus unless you are A) Running a mythic antorus raid or B) pay for one.

nothing compares to 10k heal per kill with no cooldown. its the most OP trinket under 120 in my opinion.

210 from dungeons
up to 224 if a high enough quest item upgrades to epic
pvp gear can go like 205 i think from bgs, but you use those to create the currency to buy season 7 stuff which can titanforge to 225. also 110 get to use leggos in bgs so there’s that.

in new dal right past the portals and up the stairs are a few pvp vendors. first npc on the left sells the season 7 gear. you have to collect the currency by obliterizing pvp gear over ilvl 200. youll get a few echoes of battle which are used to buy the season 7 armor, not the tmog. can only be done at 110 since youre in a bfa bg at 111 and above and the bg drops arent from legion so they dont obliterize.

I got a 110 DK, as well as a 110 rogue, 110 paladin, 110 DH and 111 DH.

After playing DH I just can't seem to play the other classes as much (in pve). They simply do not compare.

Also, have you tried unholy? I liked it better on my 110 than frost.
 
Yea I’ve tried it. I just like frost dk cause its fast and blasts everything around it in aoe damage. Honestly, I can usually top damage meters and kills.... but I just want him to be as OP as possible. So working on pvp obliterates for 230 pieces from vendor and running islands. Does anyone know if random stats and gem sockets come from dungeon 210 blues?
