UK were the primary instigators in '53. They feared the PM of Iran was turning more and more to socialism and it appeared as if they were shifting towards communism. They could not afford to lose the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, now called BP( ever heard of it?). So the UK turned to the US for help. And we obliged them. As we could not let another country fall to the "Red Menance". So you see, it is not as simple as " blood for oil" in the Middle East, even as far back as 60+ years ago. It never is.

My point still stands really, we both agree that the US interfered with Iran. Both in 53', and later on, when it wasn't the commies they were afraid of, but the people of Iran, the potential democracy, that would cut the connection to USA. You might use the same old argument you used before "Well why is it bad to keep the revolutionaries away from power if they hated USA". Well because they represented the majority of the population of Iran, and if the majority of Iran is against USA, and against the iranian government (dictator), well isn't it democracy to let them have their will?

Could it be two different people? It was explained right before the demise of TI and my/our little 3 week hiatus. I know Conq saw it, as he even commented on it.
