Warlords of Draenor Changes for F2P

Fine... Move speed sounds interesting but...
FOR FCK SAKE!!
Accwide BoAs mean more people will face roll non linked f2ps like me. It will be a choice between: do you want to collect achievements or not die every time you go out of gy?
If acc wide boas keep enchants then no more FCing for me - there will be a lot of people with more hp.
Acc wide tabards make current tabards mean nothing like it happened with titles.
Hit removing makes PvE impossible.
Eeeeh... I'm gonna cry now.
Thats why you should use titles/tabards you like, not the ones you think they are hard to obtain. Maybe one day ppl will learn it.

Well IMO acct. wide BoAs aren't that bad, and I'm not linked either (and don't plan on doing it). Assuming it works the same as mounts, it'll be nice to not have to grind BoAs out again every time you make a new toon. Even toons that you have capped out on honor ect. will be able to buy boas for other classes, just like p2p.

This however introduces a new possibility for f2p as far as bgs go. Before, playing leveling battlegrounds was kind of a wasted effort, since you couldn't possibly save up enough honor to have decent gear before hitting 20. If this goes forward f2p will be able to jump into xp-on bgs at lvl 10 with a full set of boas. It'll be interesting to see if this will offer enough of a comparative advantage to draw some people away from playing 20s.

I tried to make f2p 10s a thing but it never got many people :/

The only thing guaranteed in life is change. Learn to be happy with change, and you will learn to be happy with life. Focus on the good things change brings, and shrug off the bad things change brings as just being part of life.

For myself, I'm happy for something being different. Same old same-old is boring. I've played WoW since the release of vanilla, and I can't tell you how many times things have changed, stats have been introduced and removed, the fundamental PvP system was modified, etc.

Just enjoy each experience on its own merits, not in comparison with any other experience you'd had before. Your life will be a lot richer this way. And yes this applies to everything, far beyond just a video game.

This happens everytime.. A new patch or expansion is announced and F2P automatically starts trying to figure out what's going to happen. 5.3, 5.4, 5.0, etc. etc. This new expansion shouldn't even be talked about until blizz gives a release date as we are trying to guess or figure out what's going to happen when blizz doesn't even know yet.

Give it time then these guesses about what will happen will have the chance to be much more accurate.

Changelog for OP to update thread:
(Information from Vigil Discussion with Lead System Designer Kris Zierhut)

General:
  • Other new stats like Amplitude (crit damage), Readiness (CD Reduction).
  • Vengeance changed to increase tanking abilties, rather than pure AP. He wants Tank DPS to be roughly 75% of a DPS' output.
  • DoT snapshotting removed.
  • Gear scaling is roughly 6% of what it currently is - the itemlevel of the gear is the same, but the stats on the gear are downsized.
  • Alliance Passives (such as short blade specialization) are going to be reworked to be roughly 2-3% damage increases. The idea is alliance will have stronger racial Passives, while horde will have stronger actives.

Classes:
  • "He agrees that warlocks are too OP (Affliction specifically ) and their skillcap is WAY too high with dot snapshotting. He wants to rip up the warlock changes (with the basic idea intact - i.e. the different secondary resources) and rebuild the class."

Updated, thanks.

For future reference to anyone who shares stuff like this, please follow this shining example and include your source! It makes verifying and updating these things a lot easier.

I have some real-life stuff going on tonight so I probably won't be able to update again until later tomorrow.

Post-"WoW Raiding, Questing, Gameplay Panel" Changelog:

General
  • MORE Tertiary Stats have been announced, such as Lifesteal (portion of the damage that you deal is converted into health), Sturdiness (items don't break!), Avoidance (Absorb % of AE damage)
  • The stats of all gear acquired and seen in dungeons/ raids will change with your spec. This means that if you are a feral druid and you have a piece with agility and stamina, if you change to balance, it will instead have intellect and stamina.

as long as they don't fuck with quest items i will gladly take any new bis items from dungeons. would be funny if cloth items changed to agi / str or what ever . i could see some crazy glass cannon builds with that . also all the new stats sound crazy fun .

Agreed, those stats make me so happy

imagine a mage with like movement speed stack or lifesteal. Would be so dope ( dat rune of perfection with 10 something :p)

SO does that mean that eyepatch will give strength for my pally? :0

eyepatch is infact a quest reward.

psh life steal on a warlock would be much better . imagine a rework returning affliction to its glory days in wotlk where u had all 3 of your dots and together they would almost kill somebody . then stack life stealing for all of your dots. and maybe toss in a little cleave for even more self healing !
