Fighting boredom on the Wandering Isle
Boredom on the Wandering Isle is a common thing - I mean come on, how long can you pick up flowers and ore without dying from boredom. That's why I'm completing a short guide on what fun activities can you do on the Wandering Isle. Please enjoy
There are a few things on the isle that are quite rare, and collecting them can be a nice hobby. You can collect shadowgems, mageroyals or shards, and from the more rare things there are recipes like the one for the mechanical squirrel or winter hats.
Well expanded collectins are nice to the eye and can be impressive to those, who know the rarity of said items on the Wandering Isle. So, right now I'm encouraging you to start your own collection and post screens!
2. Achievements
There are a few achievements that can be done on the isle, with the full list here:
Achievements - WanderingIsle Wiki , cumulating to a total of 23 achievements and 230 points. They are quite fun to do if you have some spare time, and if you check the "show only character's achievements to others" you can appear on our achievements rankings on the Wiki
Also, please post screenshots of the achieves in this thread.
3. Traps
The hardest and probably the most fun part - Traps. Trap is a way to kill someone in a non-pvp environment (such as the Wandering Isle) for whatever reason - if they irritate you or you just want to relax a bit. They are also the only ways to fight botters.
Trapping is art limited only by game mechanics and your own ideas. Most basic are monster traps - You lure up some monsters with AoE damage abilities and let them attack you while you stand on your target, heal yourself while they are getting damaged by AoE.
There are the gravity traps - For example a priest uses the leap of faith on a target while standing in some high place (this trap works only on botters), the prey jumps down to continue their collecting route, and priest grabs them every time they have cooldown, up to the moment when the target deals fatal damage to themselves jumping down.
I have some more ideas but I won't share them - one of the fun sides is to invent your own ideas and try them out.
I recorded a small instructage video (first one with my voice so please go easy on me >.<)
