These guys will trade the tyranny of government for the tyranny of big business and call it freedom
Tyranny of business? Businesses don’t have the power to force you to buy something. Don’t support a business and they’ll be forced to change or go out of business.

Govt has the power to force it’s will onto the people, how tf are u scared of big business and not big govt

Denmark has a population of around 5.6 million, New York City alone is about 8.6 million, so trying to make that work for the entire US would be great if possible but i'm not sure if it can work, the US is like 50 countries in one. I'm from NY and people from Texas are more foreign to me than people from Europe and Asia probably.

I don't see how the population differential is relevant to whether something is possible.

what I meant by that was people in Denmark care about their own fellow people that live near them in their small country, here i'm not sure if a person from texas cares about people in new york and vice versa, so they are not willing to help each other with social programs, human tribal nature i guess, idk.

you think businesses are the good guys now??? only the banks are bad? go drink some Roundup

Businesses and the people that own them are the reason that people have jobs and our economy works. Unlike parasitic government which must steal every penny it has, businesses make customers’ lives better and provide jobs and pay taxes as a result of the freedom to buy what you want.
No business including my employer controls me, as I’m free to take myself elsewhere it I choose. Under socialism you’re shot, starved or re-educated if you don’t do the job you’re assigned by your rulers. Big diffference.

That’s an absurd statement. The vast vast majority of human history is rulers controlling their people. We’ll never allow people will your beliefs to take away our freedom here because somebody conned you into thinking business is the problem(which is quite literally absurd).

if you think “all of human history” shows business is the problem and not government, I’m not sure you’ve ever read a real history book.

Would you consider that mass advertising, government lobbying, or PR departments are ways in which businesses can have and maintain that kind of power?

Businesses are good if they aren’t using the power of govt to gain an unfair advantage. Banks are not inherently bad, it’s the collusion of the govt with the banking sector that created all the problems we have today.

America was built when we had a monetary system backed by gold, govt didn’t over-regulate, and the govt used its power to encourage competition rather than giving certain companies monopolies over industries.

yea, they aint doing that, which car company got bailed out again i forget?

lobbying is fine - it’s free speech. Business are people. They’re owned by people and their workers and management are people. People are allowed to speak out to government here.

yes the Obama regime bailed out the auto unions so they could continue to donate to democrats by bailing out the car companies...who were in trouble because of regulations causing them to lose money (especially while carrying low productivity union workers in their back).

you can’t have the left so stuff like that and then turn around and use it as an example while we need more leftism guy.

im independent, centrist. but i see two teams the elite, illuminati, lizard people, VS. the masses, the smallfolk, the meek.
i gotta be loyal to my team yo.

Thats not what I said. I said yall would swap the tyranny of government for the tyranny of business and call it freedom. And then said ignoring the tyranny of business is ignoring history.

You cant even comprehend one written sentence on a web forum, so how bout you not lecture anyone on reading "real" books.

I comprehended it just fine and the point still stands. Anyone know claims history demonstrates it’s business that you gotta watch out for not government is watching comrade Bernie talk about how bread lines are actually a good thing.

I get it though. Your position is literally indefensible, so smoke and mirrors it is. But why don’t you just grow up and adopt reasonable views?

Do you believe bread lines are actually a good thing like Bernie? Let’s start simple and walk you along path of removing head from ass.

also ps, please tell that idiot next time you see it that the countries where the poor starve to death without breadlines are run by people like him.

Like the totally reasonable view that capital is always a force of good? Lol

its not legislative branch, judicial branch, executive branch, its banks, big business, government that has control, why? money, lobbying is talking but money is being exchanged between the elite big business, government and banks. they will try and divide you based on race, income, who you are attracted to, gender, anyway possible. the tea party and occupy wall street people make me laugh, a bunch of poor right wing fighting poor left wing, but they are all poor. meanwhile both parties in our government voted for the bail outs of banks and car companies and the iraq wars paid for with tax payer money, so the elite could get more money and oil. when u watch people in congress on tv its like watching WWE its fake.

There you go with the vague nonsense again. I’ve found that always and never are rarely 100% true. There are had people. Can bad people sometimes make good business decisions to accumulate capital and then use it in a way that harms people? Yes - we we don’t move to government control (which actually is ALWAYS bad) because a small minority is bad, just like we don’t all live in cells because some people commit crimes.

It's fun to watch you argue with positions I've never taken
