No, I don't.
Based on what i have been reading on this thread, the comments mostly point to it being somewhat expensive.
I find it funny how residency is now like a lottery lol.
I don't know to much about the job way, but it seems complicated and I don't think I fall under it.
I researched the investment and it seems you'd have to invest a lot into the country to get a green card for the purpose of investment lol. (more than paying some american to marry me)
It just seems that no matter what path, I will always have to pay some serious money to become a resident.
Being part of this american dream and becoming a citizen is certainly not cheap. Only the wealthy seem to be able to easily become citizens of this wonderful nation.
So I'll have to be really lucky or have some decent money.
Which is also the basic fundamentals to being successful in modern life lol.

The "many" ways are basically having a green card, being a child of US citizens, or serving in the military.
So in Light's case, he can only get it through a green card which is what he's trying to get anyways. So idk what your trying to get at.

You guys are stating it is really difficult and very few people become citizens. I just pointed you to a US government site that states otherwise. I also stated that over 650,000 foreigners get their US citizenship each and every year.

His real problem is that is parent(s) came here illegally. And I presume did not get their citizenship. If she had gotten her citizenship when she came his issues would not be what they are now. He can't blame the US for the mistakes his family made.

Did I just seriously read this? Your family came to America illegally. You do not deserve the right to live In any country you want illegally, nobody does. Mexico deports all its illegal aliens swiftly and aggressively and the united states is about to start doing the same. To be honest from what I have read here, you don't even deserve it, as evidenced by your you posting on xpoff about this and the fact your willing to break the law. Paying someone to marry you is illegal and may not even work, as immigration workers will likely see through this and investigate. They call up friends and family and will find out whats going on more then half the time. Not to mention its illegal and quite a dirty way to go about things. I suggest you be a man and go back to your home country and try and make that a better place. Your not needed in the united states. Also reality check, the DACA is executive action, it is currently on course to be thrown out by the supreme court, but most likely will be cancelled via trumps executive action before that. Obama abused executive action through both his terms unlike any president before him on such big issues. That will be a major stain on his legacy, circumventing the senate and congress, and the will of the people. Luckily the courts have shut down most of his shit and trump will do the rest day one. That's how executive action works, the next presidents executive action can cancel all previous ones. Trump does not support amnesty. Obama deported 1.5 million illegal aliens through his 8 years and trump will definitely deport a lot more then that. Oh and by the way mexico will pay for the wall, they might not write a check, but the states give mexico 30 billion dollars a year in aide. That aide will stop flowing and be diverted to the wall, as well a various trade tariffs and tolls on the border. So all I'm saying is man up and get out. To everyone who says its to expensive to deport illegal immigrants... Its 1000 times cheaper then keeping them in the country. They make up 10% of the prison population alone which cost millions of dollars. They take jobs that poor Americans could do and don't pay taxes. Don't give me any bullshit about americans not wanting to do those jobs, its not true. Every state without high numbers of aliens does their own hard labour. They cost 100 billion a year in unpaid medical bills that the tax payers and other patients have to pick up the slack on. They commit crimes at a higher rate then actual citizens. There are also a estimated 5 million illegals driving on the roads in their shitty cars, without insurance. That means they crash, you get hurt, your car gets fucked, you don't get reimbursed by anyone, illegal just runs away. This has happened to me btw, on my motorcycle, got hit by a car and have never received a single cent on something I purchased brand new. Also there is a lot more then 11 million illegal aliens in America, this number was made up, illegals don't fill out the fucking census ffs, nobody knows, but it is probably north of 20 million.

One more thing the children of illegal aliens living illegally in the united states are a substantial burden on the education system. Their parents don't pay school taxes, but they go to school anyways costing tax payers billions of dollars a year. Man up, get out.

"The Wall" everyone is worried about will more than likely get put up on Mexico's southern border. Why do you think Donald Trump met with Enrique Nieto? So he could barter a deal to get Mexico to "pay for that wall". It will be on their land after all.
Think about it, building a wall here in Texas on the Rio Grande side on the river is not feasible. There are hundreds of miles of privately owned land that ranchers have had in the families for generations that abut the Rio Grande. Some of which the cattle use for a watering source. It is much more feasible to build it on Mexico's Southern Border. Mexico has immigrant issues as well. They just do not have the resources to cope with the challenges like the US.

4.) Fix immigration system so you get a faster, more direct response and you aren't pending for years. Make it based on education and if you can help the nation.
That's my thoughts and it goes both ways. I would never expect Mexico to take me if I was a burded to their society. Nor would I request them to print things in English or have American Cultural Awareness days where we march on city hall waving the american flag or change the names of their favorite soccer teams to "The" blank, like the NBA does "Los". I would feel that would be extremely disrectful to the nation that was helping me out. And I think that's where a lot of the frustration from the right comes from, just the disrespect we see that as.

I agree with this except for the "build wall" part, I honestly don't think it's gonna help keep immigrants from entering the US...
And I specially agree on fixing the immigration system and make it based on education and ability to help the nation. I don't think it's fair for the US to have to mantain lots and lots of immigrants that don't contribute economically to the country but use their services and all the help they can get.
Turtle, I think I didn't understand your situation at the beginning, but from what I've seen from your other responses, you're not just illegally there but don't want to do anything to be worthy of staying there??
I think you should try the job thing if you still want to stay there, but be serious about it. You should have to earn your value there, you need to show your potential so that you can get someone to vouch for you through your work and lets you work for them.
I think it's terribly mediocre forcing yourself into a country that isn't yours and looking for the EASIEST way to be there. It makes me sick thinking you could see a marriage as a potential way of easing things for you.. where's your self respect? where's the "hard work"? Make things happen for you, look for opportunities, but don't make your people look bad and taking advantages to do something illegal...

Sorry, I might have been too hard on you. It's probably not your fault you're there in the first place, but don't go for the easiest way. Try to look for an opportunity to stay there legally through a job. Meanwhile, I don't think there's much you can do, but since you don't have high chances of being deported anytime soon, I do think that thinking about what you're gonna major in and being the best at it will take you further than not doing anything and waiting for a miracle.

I'm not going to argue with your rambling, all I want to say is that he had no choice in the matter. His parents were illegals, he was just a child, and at this point he probably identifies more with the US than with Mexico. His parents shouldn't have come in illegally but think from their perspective. If you living in bad conditions, wouldn't you do whatever it takes to ensure you and your family has a better life? Even if it means you'd have to break a few laws?
I do agree that getting married in order to become legal isn't the right way to go. But if you aren't rich or smart as fuck, the chances of you becoming legal is so low that most people would rather choose the easy route.
As a legal migrant to the US, all I want to say is get off your high horse. Chances are you didn't do shit besides have the privilege of being born here. Don't act like you're somehow better than other people, cause I doubt you did anything noteworthy to contribute to society.
