I started a few months before TBC on Draenor EU. After seeing a friend of mine explaining how world of warcraft worked and demonstrated a duel i was sold. He gave me the advise to wait till TBC came out but i, ofcourse, bought it the next day and i made a night elf warrior. This was my very first character. I remember something he said about when you think a duel takes too long you can forfeit it. Forfeit, a nightelf warrior though, was born. Back then i didnt know there was a difference between factions, horde versus alliance, my friend his main character was an undead female rogue called Stealthia and was and is still horde.
At some point, when i couldn't make it till level 12 or so, i deleted Forfeit and joined the Horde side. We changed servers and moved to i recall what is called Executus, a PvP server. Because my friend was a bit annoyed at the fact he could not world pvp.
then the Burning Crusade came out , and again, we moved after a few months to a more less crowded server, called Sporeggar.
I then made a few characters, but since this server is also a bit of roleplay, well, it was back then, i decided to make a roleplay only character, i made a troll rogue, called Forfeit, since there weren't much troll rogues. The troll rogue looked big, clumsy and i was disturbed at the fact he didnt wear shoes. so i tried making an blood elf rogue, i believe back then blood elves had mana tap or a skill to steal mana from your target and it stacked for 3 times, and then you could release the torrent to get a little bit mana back. but because it only game back mana, and not rage, focus and energy as it does now, i also deleted Forfeit the blood elf and came out as Forfeit the Forsaken, the roleplaying dead man.
He was originaly ment to only level till level 10, and then only roleplay with it, but since i had so much level 10 gear that fits back then for a level 10 twink, i turned him into a level 10 twink.
Because i didn't had a proper high end level 70 or even a level 60 character the process of making one took ages, bg experience was turned off and i didnt had enough gold for buying proper enchants, i didnt know about the arena grand master trinket, the fishing hat i never heard of, and the only enchants i had when i thought i was proper geared was a stamina enchant on the chest, i believe i had the stamina enchant on the bracers, the agility once on the swords, the gloves, i had the pants enchant with i think +40 stamina and +12 agility on pants and i had the green goggles, i think i used +spirit rings, and ofcourse, no trinket, but only the insignia one i think. i think i came out with about 1k health or a tiny bit less. i think i almost had the 50% dodge rating, or almost 60% because if the pants enchant and the fact im level 10, scaling to level was different compared to the now, when i heard about the shoulder you get from the festival i was bored with the level 10, and decided to ask my friend to level up in deadmines, the journey took i think a half hour or so or more, and i died a lot of times. i farmed the full set of defias set wich i still use, and then dinged out as a level 15 i think, we moved to wailing cavern to ding a little bit more untill i became 18, that last level, from 18 till 19 was tricky but it was fun, over the time from that i was 10 until 19 i collected a wide range of weapons and gear, mostly all useless, but i really enjoy using them. i never had my hands on the fishing hat, the shadowfangs and even the assasins blade. I admit i asked some people for help but since it didnt turn out that well the first time i decided to manage soloing my arena grand master by stealing it from people while they where fighting eachother in the arena for the chest. it took me a year or so and i died a lot, and got a lot of angry ingame mails, and some of them on my server had me on their ignore list.
Some of new friends tried to convince me to level up Forfeit, but i wont. I have too much good memories while leveling him up, gearing him up, fighting alliance players wich some of them are luckily new made friends. It might not sound as very impressive to some of you, but for me, it is an ode to where i didnt manage to level up properly my very first world of warcraft character, to experience raiding with my first world of warcraft character before TBC came out. but now, im really glad i have some decent gear, the ability Sap, and the name Forfeit, as a 19 toon.
