I've been talking about getting on the Stormwind Gate since I posted a screenshot in the Parkour thread! Mentioned it again here... I swear I'm invisible sometimes! *grin*

Sorry to be archeologist, but I am sure threads like this shouldn't die.
I was with krowller in Stratholme to get Quel'thalas achievement, we got "discovered Quel'thalas" but no achievement. Any way to get this without help of P2P?
Also, how can I get to Vash'jr on my F2P? Never been there, even on my 90

This is going to sound like a smart-aleck answer but rest assured, it's not. Swim there.

A few caveats though. You probably want to go with some water walking or speed enhancement, because you'll be crossing fatigue waters and it's farther than you can swim alone. It's been a LONG time since Rhaellia and I made the swim and frankly I don't remember exactly how we did it, but I do know we both had Sea Turtles at the time.

You can go up the coast from Stormwind but it takes forever. You can also find a place over the mountains north of Gnomeregan and west of Ironforge and parachute down.

No idea on old Quel'Thalas. For Vashj'ir just swim west from the coast of Western Dun Morogh (you can get to the Dun Morogh coast from Wetlands simply enough). From there, swim due west towards the mountain peak/peaks. You will get fatigue damage, so you may need a class with decent self heals to keep yourself alive. There are some other methods here, which involve some swim speed buffs and such. Is very easy with a druid (aquatic form and then rejuv spam).

Defo want to get up Stormwind (candy) mountain!! Could push the boat out further and add a f2p mountaineering challenge. Maybe a 4 peaks challenge under a time limit? On each of the 4 (3 if u can't make Outland) islands. Still have to try exploring crazy places mentioned by Trial.
 
I just visited the Whispering Forest for the first time ever, and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE IT!
It's so eerie and mysterious. A truly interesting place to explore indeed.
Is there a set time when the ritual happens at the faerie ring, or is it completely random? It would be amazing to witness it while it's raining!

When I was there, I hung out for a few days until I happened to log in just as the ritual started. In looking around the web, it seems that it's around every 4 - 6 hours, which doesn't help with planning. Supposedly, the Drunk Faerie Darters start appearing one by one before the ritual. Once there are maybe 8 (?) of them, the ritual will start soon. Not exactly sure on that part though, as I only read it somewhere on the web. It is by far my favorite zone that I've visited on a F2P. It's also fun to read all the theories on what's going on there. Definitely gives me a very Lovecraftian creepy feeling. *shivers*
