Seen some guildies around in BG's, interested in making a toon on that server.. is there anything in particular that you need in terms of classes/roles?

not really, just make what you want to play

What a load of bullshit. I finally got hold of someone--a 29 named Albinobunny who was very nice--and she(?) told me that she's really about the only one in <TOTAL ANNIHILATION> ever on anymore. So yeah, this thread is pretty well dead. I'm not gonna worry about leveling my toon the rest of the way to 29. Just gonna consider him "Stranded...caught in the crossfire..."

Seriously?

i quit about 2 months ago, spent countless hours trying to build a successful guild, put a bunch of my own time/gold into it, and it just never stayed active, so i gave up and quit

after funding about 150 toons, and only about 5-6 of those people logging on, i realized there was no point in continuing

So seriously, why would you do that? I understand trying to help--you THOUGHT you were helping, but up to this point you hadn't learned the lesson about handouts, which is:

No one truly appreciates handouts.

People value stuff a whole lot more if they WORKED for it. And really, how long does it take to make a badass 29? Not very damn long. P2P's generally have level 90-100 Mains that can provide all kinds of stuff, and even if they started their first toon on your server, they can probably send heirlooms. Hell, the Tauren Paladin I made on your server was fully loomed, and it doesn't take long to get up into the 20's, and get the rest of the needed gear from dungeon runs, which usually only take around 15 minutes per dungeon nowadays...

Don't let a bunch of ingrates ruin yer own gaming fun. Just quit giving shit away. God helps those that help themselves, and we should be the same way... I don't mind helping someone gear up, by running with them, if they are really trying. But fuck any sense of Welfarecraft, and yep, that's what it is. Not Warcraft, but Welfarecraft. Fuck that. I don't have anyone giving me anything.

So ya know, pick yerself up, dust yerself off, and reform the guild with some different, more common-sense-driven rules.

Just my thoughts, but people who want to be part of a guild should also be willing to help that guild monetarily. Meaning that instead of the guild helping with their repairs (its not like an ICC25 Raid back in the day...), they should be willing to repair their own shit, and also they should be willing to give to the guild, like using the Guild Tithe Addon, voluntarily giving a certain percentage from loots/vendored items to the guild.

i'm just not interested in WoW anymore, i played the game for 10 years, wasted too much time on that game, i'm glad i was able to quit again, actually have a life again, maybe someday i'll try it out again, but right now, i'm just enjoying life, and not missing WoW at all

If that's how you want it, then good for you! I definitely know the feeling. The game feeds something in me, though that thing doesn't necessarily need to be fed as oft as it is. I've got a wife, a career, grandkids, and a metal band to take up much of my time, but I still dig playing WoW, whether its the garrison grind or gearing a twink...
