To the F2P exploiters

Is terrain jumping = exploiting? I dont know what jump he made, but it doesn't sound like an exploit? If all it requires is to jump with mount. It's not like jumping out of map with the MoP toy

That's like saying Counter-Strike doesn't require skill because you can just download an aimbot and let it do the work for you :p

ps. terrain jumps are more than just walljumping

hey sorry guys can u please not try have a chance of winning against my premades im only trying to stomp every game and ruin the experience for any decent player. If u do i will ban u haha. All the fun has to be for me, thanks guys.

Jumping is not an exploit everyone has access to jumping. It is just a matter of taking the time to learn them.
No matter what your opinion of TWINKING and exploiting is, twinking is based on "exploiting" the system the game has in place. That is simply what Twinking is a about. Do you think that a level 20 is supposed to have the health of a level 60 vanilla? No....
We will continue to find new and exciting ways to "exploit" the game to make our toons better.

For the same reason when a GM mails someone "accidentally" a GM item that kills everything within a certain radius of you, then the person uses that item and is permabanned.

They don't like looking bad, and when their messups or glitches are brought to light, they pull the "Exploit" card. :)

When Naxx25/10 first hit, Mages could "Spell Steal" a "Bone Shield" (Forget actual name) off certain mobs in the military wing, and it would absorb a very very large amount of damage (Enough to take zero damage essentially) , and if you spec into "Incanter's Absorbtion", you receive a SP boost per absorbtion. Alas, you would get enormous (Time given) crits and could solo farm the wing. However, despite us mages simply using our move Spell Steal to steal spells, because of their oversight, they would just ban those using it and make spell steal pretty much useless in PVE.

If the bank makes a clerical error and puts $10,000 in your account, and you spend it quickly, knowing that it's not yours, you are guilty of theft or at least fraud, yes?

If you leave your car unlocked with the keys in it, by accident, because you were just running back in the house to grab something, and someone jumps in and drives it off, would you call the cops and report it stolen, or would you say "yup that was my fault, therefore it's not actually stealing for them to take it"?

Exploiting is bad. No one can argue otherwise. Abusing the game in ways that we know is not intended by the developers and then pointing the finger of blame at them instead of ourselves is just intellectually dishonest. The real question, then, is whether or not wall jumps are in fact terrain exploits. On that topic, I can completely see where people can have different yet equally legitimate arguments. I'm not a mind reader and I can't know Blizzard's intentions, so I'm neutral on this topic.

BTW I got a notification about a necro'ed thread, but if this is something you guys are still interested in talking about, I'm not going to interfere.

In both situations you gave, someone is losing while someone else is winning.

People are losing when exploits are maid that can't be done by everyone, thus giving an unfair advantage.

But I don't think jumping around the gulch is exploiting (in some cases it is tho, like jumping out of map, using bugged toys etc), but is merely a proof of great map awareness. Like the horde/ally ToT jumps, fence jumps, jumping on roots and logs etc.
