Timewalking Dungeons now TBC

Anyone loot https://www.wowhead.com/item=133461/timbals-focusing-crystal?
Tooltip says 70-80 extra damage, it looks quite good.
So, I just ran MT to SSO exalted on my hunter and didn't see shard of contempt (the physical dps trinket) drop once. I got the mount and the toy, but no trinket. The adventure guide says the trinket matches all hunter specs.

That said, soloing MT on an undergeared (and inexperienced) hunter was a fun challenge. Even though I got much better at the class in the process, I still don't know if I could have done it without the SL healing gem.

I'm talking about the TW version of https://www.wowhead.com/item=133461/timbals-focusing-crystal
It exists, I've seen it drop, just didn't get it.
I don't think there's an ICD, looks good for max rot DoT classes.
I will report back when I get it.

Is there a way to walk into Timewalking? I'm not farming it from walking into MT, that requires lvl 25 and would give me the normal dungeon I would think?

Cant walk into TW and you gotta wait until TBC TW is back in rotation.

Upthread @Katmandu describes a technique (which worked for me, thanks for sharing it!) where you queue for timewalking until you get the specific dungeon you want, then exit game after finishing it and don't log back onto that character for 30 minutes. When you do log back on, the instance will be reset and you can solo the dungeon (then repeat, logging out for 30 minutes each time, until you get the drop or the rep you want).

I'm glad to hear that you've seen Timbal's Focusing Crystal drop! I was beginning to worry that none of Delrissa's trinkets drop in timewalking. Did you see it drop for a 20 or for a higher-level character?

It was a warlock, might have been 80... definitely higher level. I will try this log out tonight, thanks!

I did FINALLY get it to drop for me after seeing the mount twice! (pardon the rest of my gear, I'm currently in the process of leveling an old pre-squish heirloom 19 twink up to a 20 while I'm not subbed lol) but can confirm it DOES drop on 20s for the next time TBC TW rolls around! Also, first post! I am looking to get a little more involved in the community once I get this toon and my warrior geared up!

Congrats on the drop! Can you confirm that it doesn't have an internal CD for the proc? I might have to try and get one next time BC timewalking rolls around for a rot build.

Some comments on wowhead say it's a 15 sec ICD but it sounds like it doesn't have one anymore

Man I am super curious if wod mop and cata timewalking will be open to us as well.

For MOP, it would be interesting if one or more of the dungeons were the ones that the player can get bonus MOP faction rep for.

Similarly with Cataclysm as Blizzard has made Classic TImewalking being 6 of the iconic Vanilla instances mirroring only a few of the ones available with the previous Chromie Cataclysm timeline - it would be interesting if some of the Cataclysm dungeons as well ones with faction reputation become available. Granted most of the Cataclysm faction reputation gain tabards are currently locked by character level quest lines - for example to unlock the Dragonmaw Clan/Wildhammer Clan.

The nice feature of the TBC time walking <= 20 was getting more of The Sha'tar pass the F2P initial levels and the Shattered Sun Offensive reputation. But Shattered Sun Offensive interaction even flying to the location seems to be limited with <=20.

I was all prepared to say you can’t at 20, but then I looked at the image you posted and it really looks like you can, but I have no idea how.
It's definitely possible - I've seen Siege of Boralus rings on level 20 characters too. No idea what method was used though. Some people have said there was a Korrak AV summon bug, that has apparently been patched, so I think it's something different.

Can anyone tell me how to get this from Magister's Terrace?:thonkW:
Has something to do with the Korrak AV bug, maybe its broken again. Also, there is a chance the MT normal version instance had something changed when they enabled the tw version for low chars (since you could not queue into it at the start of the TBC tw week). My guess would be to try to get summoned *inside* the dungeon via refer friend of warlock summon stone (or just try to find the owner of the char with those bracers and speak with it).

I don't see any reason a high level couldn't queue alongside a lowbie. I know I've seen plenty of people of a range of levels in those dungeons.

Given that timewalking is all about scaling the challenge to whatever level character, I don't see much benefit to either. The only things I can think of are if one is a pure DPS looking to piggyback a healer/tank queue, or the high level wants to benefit from the way that twinks can have obscene relative damage to speed up runs.

Korrak AV bug?
