What about
https://www.wowhead.com/spell=255129/torrent-of-elements
isn't that better for caster weapons as enchant?
Correct, but 10% is much more than the base int from spellpower. As examples, the Spellpower enchant is a fixed amount always on, this enchant has a chance to proc 10% more elemental spell damage.
While that's true, it still needs to proc from something. And it's not guarantee to proc from the first spell you cast. Additionally, usually as a caster you would like to use your big hitter first, so it can go off cooldown sooner in your rotation, be it chaos bolt, lava burst or things like that. If you open with a big hitter while having enchant that gives you int all the time you benefit more then from a random proc enchant. Also proc is unreliable since it can activate at dps downtime or when you have to kite/enemy used defensives etc. Suprisingly torrent of elements works pretty well with enh shaman, because you can proc it with anything and you rarely have dps downtimeCorrect, but 10% is much more than the base int from spellpower.
What do your secondaries look like tho? I am tempted to go for it but feel id be lacking in alot of secondaries. I have the helm and shoulders already btw with 3rd socket proc on helmwanted to show some cool drops i had...extra socket on belt im pretty sure and chest went rare and upp'd the base ilvl. i also wanted to say for plate, the 4 set of doom is quite worth it...i've ran several tests and the proc rate/uptime of the +str proc is right around 60% uptime. scales real nice with twin crusader.
Have tried with @Wisely and we've had some pretty good results.I read on Discord that trading works for F2P accounts in exile's reach. So any tradable items are technically available for F2P chars without a linked sub or vet account, including TWW items. A F2P and sub account both make fresh goblins and trade to/from their warband banks using https://www.wowhead.com/spell=69046/pack-hobgoblin .
I've got my main and alt accounts linked to a single bnet so i just use warbound to enchant and dep my gold cap when i play daily. I'll use my main, do AH stuff and put like bags or enchants/gems to use in the warbound bank...then access that same bank tab on my forever20 trial.Have tried with @Wisely and we've had some pretty good results.
So on the trial side you can only trade 1K (technically 999g 99s 99c) per trade and the short 1 minute during which we can access https://www.wowhead.com/spell=69046/pack-hobgoblin makes it so you may have to create several characters to get it done (we did around 4 trades -4K gold- per goblin) but if you have enough gold in your warbank (or find a rich/kind vet that can pay for you) it's an easy setup.
We can't really know how long it will last but I'd be pretty surprised to see it last very long. I don't generally like bugs, even less helping in those (I'm a pussy, what can I say) but I think having a way to trade/somewhat access the AH for f2p is amazing so here's our testing ^^
That's fair but a lot of people don't have a main (or side, depending) subbed account. This method allows for them to have some form of access to Vet-restricted items that may be useful or plain necessary for a BIS character.I've got my main and alt accounts linked to a single bnet so i just use warbound to enchant and dep my gold cap when i play daily. Since Timewalking was opened to level 10+, TBC epic gems are available. During TBC Timewalking week, https://www.wowhead.com/zone=4131/magisters-terrace is available, which gives Shattered Sun Offensive rep. Jewelcrafting recipes can be bought from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=27666/ontuvo , and epic reagents can be obtained from https://www.wowhead.com/item=35945/brilliant-glass . WotLK epic gems are obviously much more accessible, but it is another way to get BiS stam gems instead of https://www.wowhead.com/item=45880/solid-stormjewel ."TBC and Cata single stat epic gems scale normally to 3 Stam / Int / Agi / Str @ lvl 20 and 4 @ lvl 29 and are considered BiS for FC / Str DPS classes. Sadly, those are not available to F2Ps."
Good note. But the drop rate from Brilliant Glass is minuscule, which will make it a painful grind. I think a better option is just farming timeiwalking badges with the anniversary event and buying a bunch of Bag of Fishing Treasures (what I did). Still, no matter how you get them, think twice before using any of those stam gems, they may very well be the rarest gem a f2p can farm atm.Since Timewalking was opened to level 10+, TBC epic gems are available. Alright thanks for the reply. If you don't have an active sub you can't trade at all. There's some wiggle room if you happen to be in exile's reach, but that that requires some pretty heavy support to get something good and almost anything you can pick up is something you could get elsewhere on your own.
Warband banks allow for a reasonable trade of supplies across your own characters. That's through the bank interface rather than the trade window, so anything relevant is stuck to only your characters.
Do you still need to socket different shadowlands gems to get the doublet's to work? I didn't notice that before and put all haste ones in, and I seem to be getting the run speed and healing effect, and the haste is adding to my character stats.4.8. Gems
BiS gems are pretty straightforward nowadays - Straddling Jewel Doublet + Revitalizing Jewel Doublet (Vet only) and filler Versatile Jewel Cluster / Masterful Jewel Cluster/ Quick Jewel Cluster/ Deadly Jewel Cluster gems in all other sockets to increase the doublet gems effect. If the item has multiple sockets, you need different types of gems (I.e. vers + mast + crit) in each socket to get them all to count. You don't need to do that tho. Because we are easily getting 12 socket items (even if we don't count the weapons and the trinkets), you should only put 1 cluster gem in each item (your most valuable secondary stat) to reach the instanced PVP speed cap (scaled to lvl 29) of 171 Speed. If you don't care about instanced PVP, even less cluster gems (7 or 8) are needed to reach the speed cap (49 %) of 111 Speed @ lvl 20.
and do you get speed and healing for all gems or just 1 gem worth / item? (it used to work like that, so if you put 3 haste gems into chest for example, you only got the doublet effect for 1 of them).Do you still need to socket different shadowlands gems to get the doublet's to work?
