Hero's Call!
Hello everyone! | Announcements: |
Hello everyone Due to some technical issues we were not able to post issue 4 last week. We also have an announcement: Next week issue 5 will be posted, but starting from there on, one issue will be posted every 2 weeks. We want the Trial Journal to be something you wait for and it would be something fun not something that becomes boring after a short time. But now, go on and we hope you will like this issue as always Cheers from the Trial Journal Team! | Christmas is on the way! That's why we have a contest for you! Draw something ChristmasEE and F2P wow related and send it via PM to Crystalpall or sevenslacks7 . Best works will be posted in Issue 6 25th of December. GL and HF drawing from the Trial Journal team |
Screenshot's of the week!
Screenshots! So at this portion of the article, we will display TI user submitted screenshots or pictures, that relate to wow, twinking, Twinkinfo, or something that happened to them IRL. Ugh my head... wait where am I? :O ~Photo by SPQR | So this just recently happened to me. I was using my computer on the balcony... and I accidentally dropped it... and it didn't like hitting the concrete ground to much.. ~Sevenslacks7 |
The Interview | |
Every issue we will post an interview with someone well known in the F2P bracket - If you want to be interviewed, drop a PM to either Crystalpall, or Sevenslacks7 We had a last minute interview this week, which tbh I am happy about considering who we interview, its fellow Tinker Dramatized! Enjoy! Journal: *Cough Cough* Oh well hello there Mr.Dramatized, Sevenslacks7 here, could I have a moment of your time to ask you a couple of questions for a interview? *caution: Everything you say can and WILL be trolled against you in TI* Dramatized: I' Dramatized: I'm ready to take my chances Dramatized: or risks Journal: Well kaloo kalay lets get underway Journal: Tell us a little bit about yourself, ie your age, job, schooling, maybe where you live? etc etc. Journal: *there are no wrong answers here* Dramatized: Well, yeah. I'm 18 years old, and I live cold yet cozy Sweden. At the moment I'm still in school (idk what the accurate equivalent would be for US) but I guess high school? However with that, I'm at my last year before college. Until last year I was active in a sport called floorball (almost like hockey but indoors, and ten times more badass). But yeah, I incurred a severe knee injury which resulted in having to quit with all ball-related sports ;( So now a days I can be seen lifting weights at the gym instead! (This might also very well be the reason behind my high post count on Twinkinfo) Journal: Im sorry to hear that, I also like floor hockey. Journal: So drifting off from irl into wow, what was your first toon, if you can remember, and why is it worth it to you to have toons on the US as well as EU? Dramatized: I remember my first toon, a Night elf Hunter named "Fismålare" (which translated to "Fartpainter") - on Khadgar EU. I leveled it to 14 then I realized I was too lazy and poor to take care of my beloved Nightsaber - so I deleted him - and created a Gnome Rogue, which, thankfully, is alive yet to this day. The reason behind me having characters on both EU and US reads "F2P community". Back in Cata when F2P first was announced, I remember seeing a thread on TI that said that all F2Ps should create one big community on Aerie Peak (the server was since before known for its good latency for EU players). So, wanting to try something new and challenging, I created my Hunter Sverige and my Mage Magikadehex. The community on AP back in Cata was so amazing I can't even express it with words; constant duels in GS, arenas and premading. Also, many people in the 19s guild I am officer in, <Same Score Different Day>, rolled toons over there as well - which only added more to my love for the server and F2P as a whole. Until recently I had never played on EU - but I enjoy it much - playing with guildies, IRLs and other people I know. I guess I really like the variation; to be able to just take a leap across the Atlantic Sea and back is really appealing. Both continents have great players and great personalities. A big plus as an EU'er playing on US is that you NEVER run into 24 premades Dramatized: translates** Journal: So I have seen your stream a few times.. It seems like you have a.. eccentric UI set up, what addons/ macros are you using and why? Dramatized: Oh, yeah I run with Tidy Plates just because they are easy to comprehend and they generally look way much cleaner than Blizzard's ditto. I also have a wonderful addon called Sheep Monitor, which lets you track the CCs your opponent is affected of. BattlegroundTargets is just great for many needs; lets you keep track on the composition of the enemy team, see who's in range, easy target someone etc - every PvPer should use this!! I can't stress that enough. I use Castbars for, well, ehh, my castbars - it's very similar to Quartz except I think Castbars is easier and has better functionality. GladiatorlosSA for keeping track of enemy CCs and incoming spells/attacks etc. Journal: Makes sence. | Healers Have To Die shows a red cross above healer players. Great for quickly locating who and where the healer is. Icicle I use to keep track of the enemy's CDs, nothing more than that. (Shows his current lockout spells/PvP-trinket/etc on the nameplate.) Plate Buffs is a great asset for anyone. Especially DPSers; it lets you adjust the size of the debuffs or buffs on your enemy target (above their nameplate). SexyMap. What more can I say? It's a sexy map; noting more, nothing less. There's probably a ton more addons I use which I haven't considered, but I guess these would be the most important ones! Journal: Have you done any endgame? Or do you strictly twink? *and yowza thats alot of addons* Dramatized: in WotLK I did alot of endgame. I loved it, ICC was beuatifully made along with the other raids the expansion had to offer. WotLK was also the only expansion in which I didn't twink (started in Vanilla but took a break during WotLK, continued when Cata hit). During WotLK literally my whole class played WoW - everyone played on the same server and faction, we hade our own guild and we did everything together basically. I miss it each and every day. I don't think I'd ever played any WoW endgame if it weren't for them. Sevenslacks7: That sounds like fun, I think its time for the quick question quick answers game: Ill say a word, and you say the first word or phrase that comes to mind Journal: ready? Dramatized: Rdy Journal: Aerie Peak? Dramatized: Great Journal: 'Murica? Dramatized: fuck yeah Journal: Sweden? Dramatized: Beautiful women Dramatized: that's two words lol (both fuck yeah and beautiful woman) Journal: Thats fine. xD Journal: last one Journal: Paul Walker? Dramatized: R.I.P. Journal: ok Journal: now one question form my 'collegue' Crystalpall "when are you gonna give your first like? " Dramatized: Ehh whenever there's a thread/post worthy of it. My likes aren't 'given', they are deserved. Journal: xD Journal: Well that is the end of the interview, thank you very much for your time. Journal: Do you have any shout outs? Dramatized: Oh, not that I can think of! I'm afraid I would leave anyone out then - so I rather pass! |
There was once a bug allowing players who were swimming mounted to jump above water with the speed of normal mount - this allowed you to swim a lot faster.
